Nice stout unit but needs improvement. The small spring that is part of the vertical lock system needs to be ground flat on its ends. It now clicks and pops when tightened. The small fabric rest pouch is a real joke, poorly sewn, fake leather surface where the gun rest. This will not last very long.

This is not for serious accuracy or precision work,it is not machined with tight tolorences, and the front plate will stick when adjusting down the support bag is single stiched , t has a cheaply made bearing the adjustable up down ring sets on other than that it will last forever its got good weight good for plinking i would give a little more money and buy a caldwell!

Fast delivery, Quality materials, be sure to follow the instructions, or when all else fails read the directions! I lubed all threads, greased the thrust bearing on both sides before assembly. This is a nice Rest, that's equivalent to others costing much more! I really wasn't expecting this level of quality, and was pleasantly surprised. Thanks Highwild

I don't really have anything to compare it to, because I haven't used one of these before, but it's a very solid rest. The whole thing is made of iron and starts out being quite heavy. The included bag is shipped empty and without filler. I used 8 pounds of lead shot that I emptied from soft scuba weights, and that filled the bag perfectly. It now weighs 17 or 18 pounds total, which is fine, I'm not going hiking with it. It has instructions for setting it up left or right handed, which I didn't really understand. I throw with my right hand but don't really have a preference when adjusting a gun rest. The bag probably won't last forever but the rest of it should. I slathered the working parts in bearing grease, so I get nice, smooth operation. It's hard to make something with 3 legs unstable, but the legs are all adjustable just in case, and will add about 2 inches to the height if you need it. You can't really go wrong with this thing unless weight is a big issue. I think it just makes it more solid.
