I used to buy pretty much only HiLetgo electronic parts, I have noticed that the esp8266, then the ads1115 were DOA or stopped working almost immediately. I purchased (4) groups of the ADSD115 since 2021 almost none are working. I switched to a different source at Amazon and all of those are working.I needed some RCWL-0516, of the 4 suppliers I picked HiLetgo and the pieces they sold me were used or mis-manufactured, partially soldered and missing the connectors.My advice is to stay away from HiLetgo, unless this is a Amazon repurposing issue???Ordered more from a different seller on Amazon.Bob G

Just as the title says. Can't be easier. 3 pins. 1 line of Arduino code. And a video I saw shows these things only draw about 1 mA but I have not confirmed it yet.

The sensor in the images is not the sensor I received. There are several missing capacitors that are used to determine sensor reset times and sensor pulse times. These are C1 and C2 on the real schematic, but those do not exist on this board. The image that is showed for this listing shows the capacitors being there, however it looks like these boards have been updated (I can't find any new schematics) or the capacitors removed to cut cost, but charge the same amount.

I hooked up one of the units on a breadboard and I was able to detect motion across a 6 meter (20') room without issue.

Only 4 worked correctly.These are very easy to use. Testing I connected each to 5V supply and ground, and the output goes to 3.3V when motion detected. Range is good on 4 of the 5, around 15-20 ft. Fifth board only registers motion at about 5 inches, so it's useless.

I really like these. They are sensitive and I was easily getting 15'. It picks up small movements across my living room. Unfortunately because of a lot of mass produced electronics like this are hit and miss, I tested all of them and 2 wouldn't work. 1 wouldn't detect anything and the other was stuck on detected or signal High. I would still reccomend them but if you need all 5 I'd order 2 packs.

Pretty sure it detects the movement from a fly on the other side of the house... yeah these work. A little too well :p Please note that compared to IR, these bad bois go straight through most things, including your tinfoil hat so it's gonna trigger for anything 7m radius wall or not.

This device is incredibly simple to use and highly effective as a proximity motion detector. Can be placed within wholly sealed plastic cases so ideal for outdoor applications or hidden proximity detection. Plenty of information reviews on youtube too! All five of the units worked perfectly so this was a good buy.
