About this item

  • This Adapter only supports the 5 cm solid state drive defined by the mSATA interface in the mini pci-e. The mSATA is not equal to the 1.8-inch MICRO SATA.
  • The mini pci-e interface has three pin definitions. mSATA- is more common on Lenovo and THINPAD machines. SATA MINI PCI-E- is more common in Asus<br> EPC and some tablets.there is also a PATA definition, which is essentially an IDE interface, more common on Dell MINI 9 and other machines.The three interface definitions look exactly the same and can't be distinguished by the naked eye, so be sure to distinguish the interface definitions of your SSDs!
  • Solid state drive (not supported by ASUS, the kind used by Lenovo) plus adapter card, the size is the same as your original CE interface mechanical hard disk, solid state drive plus adapter card size: 6.3 * 3.5 * 0.63cm (long *generous).
  • Connect the Mini PCI-e mSATA SSD to a 1.8" ZIF SSD for easy update of IPOD, PAD or laptop SSD. (Not supported by any Apple device)
  • Be sure to pay attention to the direction in which the cable is plugged into the connector, as opposed to your original hard drive.

Because the main control used by the SSD is in abundance, the adapter card does not guarantee the support of all models of SSDs, which is the same type of main control.
Because of the different design of each manufacturer, there may be incompatibility problems. This adapter card is to transfer the SSD of other interfaces to the ZIF interface through the chip. Any chip has its compatibility.
It is impossible to be compatible with all computers 100%. Please understand. Manual measurement, with small error. Please check size in detail before purchase.

So I used these adapters to add an SSD to my iPod like many others may do and I was about to return it as I couldn’t get it to work and the cable kept slipping out. Well the latch on these is a bit wider than the iPod ZIF ribbon so after putting a small piece of Kapton tape on the ribbon it works like a charm! So far.. we’ll see how long these last

Bought two of these to convert old netbooks from 1.8in HDD to SSD. Fits perfectly in the drive bay, although there aren't really matching mounting screw holes and the board needs to be taped to the chassis. After the conversion, those netbooks have become somewhat useful devices from complete junk!

Use this in an old Sony hard drive based camcorder. Gave it to my 9 year old so he can film stuff. So far so good! Performance and battery have been excellent. The recording time also now x5 since I replaced the original 30GB hard drive with a 160 GB SSD.

This adapter is very useful. It's a shame the 40 pin ZIF cable wasn't included and I had to order separate from alternate source. Functions well, screws included. Arrived relatively quickly.

I have ordered two of these. One worked, one didn't. Will be ordering another in hopes that the non-working one is a fluke. The one that is working was easy to install.
