Machining on all of the nuts I've used is clean and precise. Threads are great and finish quality is nice enough for furniture/cabinet use.

There is just something about using brass hardware that I like - It's less prone to corroding than common steel, it's strong enough for most purposes, and brass screws and nuts are usually well made. I just like the looks of brass hardware. This is a standard large pattern brass nut. It seems to be well made. It threads perfectly onto the mating screw. And they arrive in a sealed plastic bag and are fairly shiny. While brass will eventually darken as it gets light surface oxidation, it doesn't "rust" and the oxidation almost never goes deep so that it still mates well with the naming screw even after many years of exposure.
