They're stainless machine screws, and are exactly as described. Fine-threaded screws are hard to find at big-box stores and I'm thankful they're so readily available here. A bit expensive, but it saved a 90min round trip to a fastener supply place, so cheaper in the long run. Stainless is a little tougher than regular machine screws, so don't try to cut these down with the screw cutters you find on your wire strippers, just use a hacksaw and you'll be fine.
