I used this to support a closet rod (1.25" diameter) that had bent so badly due to chronic lack of support that the rod fell out of the circular holds on each end and dumped all the clothes on the floor. The closet had a weirdo depth that seemingly no closet rod support bracket would accommodate. Luckily, the closet in question has a shelf above it which I used to screw this into. However, the screws that came with this exceeded the thickness of the shelf, so I swapped them out for some shorter screws I had on hand, so that the screws did not punch through the wood and ruin the shelf. To install, I measured the middle of the rod exposed to the closet door; then, simply placed empty rod in position, and used a pencil to mark the screw locations. After setting the depth of the drill bit to match the length of the screw (with a little "play"; to prevent punching through the shelf with the bit), l did some pilot holes, and easily screwed in the rest of the way. Extremely pleased with the result!

This is the best situation for our closet . We had a closet designed but the original design did not have a support bracket . These meet our needs perfectly

This perfectly fit inside my closet to provide extra support to my closet rod. I don't have to worry about the rod snapping based on the weight as this piece helped to distribute it more evenly.

We have this hook in our 5th wheel closet. We replaced the whole set up in there, and this appears to be holding very well at the center of the bar.

I was looking for a middle support for my wooden closet rod. Another one I tried was too small but this one fit. The only issue I had, and it wasn't anything wrong with the hook, was that the hook was too short to reach the rod from the shelf above. I used a small piece of wood screwed to the shelf to lower it and it worked perfectly for what I needed.

Amazon is the only place I could find hooks like this to support a closet rod. I installed 2 of them on a 66” rod and they’re working great. Very solid.Installation was a bit challenging. These must be screwed into something above the closet rod, usually a shelf. I screwed them into my shelf supports. Whatever you choose, you must get the position of the shelf exactly correct relative to the rod. So just measure twice and be careful. I messed this up a bit and my hooks had to be installed somewhat crooked, but that’s okay.
