I would not give this recoil 1 star! It exploded before I could get the Honda engine started. 4 pulls and this piece of junk was in 6 parts that could not be fixed. One part was on the other side of the room. STAY AWAY FROM HIPPA!

This fit my Honda EG1400x generator circa 1986. (GX110 engine)You need to remove the three 10mm cover bolts and the factory pull starter housing then remove the center adapter bolted to the crankshaft with a 19mm socket. I used a cordless impact driver it was very easy. Line up the holes retighten the nut on the crankshaft install the new pull starter assembly which is metal and seems to function very well.

Good product. Will meet my needs. Packaging was damaged & taped back together by post office staff. The screws were loose in the package when opened, but fortunately none were lost.

I installed this on a Honda 160, after swapping out the crank adapter, it was not retracting back smoothly. Upon inspection the clock spring was spun and rendered it useless. I used the pull cord to rewrap the old one.

Well worth the extra couple bucks over the plastic garbage, I know from experience. Bought the cheap one first and the plastic inside blew apart after less than 20 strong pulls. This product has a more robust design with metal pins that lock into place with thick plastic cradles vs flimsy plastic wings with little plastic nubs holding them in place.
