This was relatively simple to replace, just a few screws and contortion under the dash. It solved the fan speed issue in my Honda. For the price, I was skeptical but it has been flawless for a few months now. Like another review stated, for the lower price, I can afford to buy several of these if they fail prematurely! The Honda dealer wanted over 3X the price and had to order it in. Prime had it here in a day.

Perfect fit and relatively easy install especially if you have small, strong hands for the bottom screw. kudos to the YouTube videos that show the install. The original OEM Honda resistor failed and I only had TopSpeed on my blower but with the simple change out everything’s working great again. I also changed out my blower fan.

Part description/matcher says it’s not compatible with 2014 model. I have installed it in mine and it works fine. It’s 1:1 to the OEM Japanese part. If it burns out I’ll come back and edit this.

This was a bargain too good to be true. For less than $20 I replaced the blower resistor and hadspeeds 1-4 again, for almost 3 days.Everything worked fine, on day 3 during multiple driving trips, I started my car and noticed a slightburning smell, I thought it was the diesel truck in front, but then noticed my fan stopped workingagain, as it was working just fine a few minutes ago.Amazon was quick enough to send a replacement, it's only a minor inconvenience to do the jobtwice and then you have to remember to return the defective part within the time frame orthey will charge you for the replacement. If this breaks again soon, I will just buy a higherquality part.So about the part, it appears fineHowever the front plate is not attached, it only slides on the metal connectors as a friction fit,and the screws secure it though the black part, sandwiching the circuit board when installed,so not necessarily a bad thing, just not a sign of a higher quality part in my opinion. So my first part failed because one of the solder connections came loose, you can see thisin the picture I provided. Not sure why this happened, but I was curious so I took the cover offto see the failure point. And for the review that said..."Do not replace this part without first replacing your blower motor or you'll overheat this resistor pack too." That's pretty much BSBlower resistors run hot by nature, it is a resistor. Resistance equals heat. That's why these are installedin the airbox so they have air running over them to keep them cool.It is a very common part to fail over time, you do not need to replace your blower motor in mostcases. If you suspect the blower motor of pulling to much amps, it's probably gonna blow the fuse first. If you think the blower motor might be bad, there are ways to test it before just replacing, like measure the amount of amps it pulls during operation. Usually when the motors go bad theystop working, sometimes they have an internal issue that could pull too manyamps, and you would need to test accordingly. But just because the blower resistor fails ona 12 year old vehicle, does not mean your blower motor is bad, it means your 12 year oldblower resistor gave out, it's a pretty common issue.

The device is fairly simple to install after a quick YouTube tutorial. This one seems well made and matches the old one perfectly.

Install was easy, replaced it at the same time as the blower fan just to be safe. Not sure if it was the fan or resistor but fan speeds are working now and it was a cheap enough fix.
