This works great. A quick twist and the rounds drop. Better than the plastic that is hard to push.

This speed loader is the best one I’ve used, I bought one and then really liked it and bought another and another and now I have about 5-6 I love these for my colt python, when new the rounds stay very in place and they fit perfectly but also when turning the knob to release the rounds is very difficult when it’s new, play with it a couple times use it at the range a couple times before you consider carrying this, after playing with it the rounds loosen up a bit and the knob turns with ease. I recommend this 10 out of 10 times.

Hogue wood grips much the size of standard OEM grips allow enough clearance to use these on the new Colt Python. I would hazard a guess the OEM grips would clear these too. There isn’t a lot of clearance, but they fit fine. You wouldn’t win any speed shooting contests but they are certainly serviceable and don’t bind up at all. Same HKS quality as always.

Great design, I usually prefer Safariland just a litte better because you can just push down, and rounds drop in cylinder (a little quicker when seconds may count). Like all HKS speedloaders, you must twist HKS PYA to drop rounds but no big deal. Works great. One caution, if you are purchasing for the New Colt Python, you should change grip to use pretty much any speedloader easily. Too tight with current wood grip. I replaced with pachmayr grip which works awesome and for sale here on amazon for $41 bucks. You can't beat it. It feels so great in your hand, much better grip for shooting. Not as pretty as the original wooden factory grips though. I just store the original wooden grips for looks or if I ever want to sell the gun. (which won't happen). These are the grips you want.. Pachmayr 02528 Gripper Grips. They go on in 5 mins. Here is the link... https://www.amazon.com/Pachmayr-02528-Gripper-Grips-Frame/dp/B000PW919YRemember, don't over-tighten these or the originals, or you will be buying anothr set. 4in lbs with torq screwdriver should do it. No loctite needed.Enjoy, and be safe.
