They come a bit roughly finished. I had to take them apart and file the hinge passes flat so that they worked smoothly. Also the handles are far apart when closed, so not good for anyone with smaller hands.Overall I'm very happy with them, they work great and save alot of cramping in fingers

Used for skinning deer. Broke on first one . Would have been great if it was made from decent material.Would not buy this product again

Broke the first time I used it. Handle snap right off. Looked and felt sturdy buy was poorly made. Waste of money.

Solid build quality, great price. The product is relatively heavy and the grip teeth seem very sharp. It's a great fit for my needs

Edit: two deer seasons and these tongs broke. One of the clamp sides broke right off. They are cast but I wouldn’t have expected them to snap under normal skinning.I’ve been looking for something to eliminate hand cramps while skinning deer. This is the answer. Only problem with it is the handles are very far apart to use one handed and I have big hands

These are well made and sturdy. They worked great to pull hide off deer. Fit the hand well and once clamped on, have enough tension to not open up until you are done. Great choice for saving hand strength when doing multiple deer in a row. Would definitely recommend. Note: Don't pull too hard on younger deer hides because these beasts wont quit on you, they'll rip the patch of hide they bit and tear though the edge with the patch still locked in their jaws.

Used for the first time this past weekend on a buck that had hung for a day in 20* temps. He was riggored up good and the hide wasn't coming off easy. My old man was skeptical, but I said hey lets try it.They are a little bulky and odd, but got the job done with a lot less cramping in the hands and I'd recommend them to anyone who butchers their own deer. Probably not worth the trouble if your harvest is still warm and fresh, but great for those hides that aren't coming off easy.
