Good quality. Can be a pain to install when removing your kayak from the water, bit after a couple times you'll get the hang of it. Oh and you'll have to walk into the water right past your knees to allow your kayak to float at a depth that you'll be able to remove the set of wheels.

Purchased to use with a Hobie mirage tandem island on a river trip down the Tennessee river in case we have to use it at boat ramps or lochs.Used once to check that it works but have not hauled it far yet. Fits well and balances boat to make it easy to pull. (More at the end of the ride if anything changes)End of ride update:-Worked very well. Easiest to get wheels under tandem island was to pop off at least one outrigger, get wheels under, and then replace outrigger, strap both to hull before moving. well balanced push/pull up steep boat ramp.

The heavy-duty kayak cart is another good quality product by Hobie. The tires are filled with foam, therefore will float, giving you an extra plus in case something goes wrong when on the water. This is a must for my Hobie PA 14, given its weight and size. For larger size kayaks and/or kayaks which have been upgraded and are super heavy, consider combining the heavy duty cart with the Hobie cradle, which will redistribute the weight and prevent damage to the scuppers. Just like all other products by Hobie, expect to pay $$, HOWEVER you get what you pay for.

This is a great cart which has an 11 inch span between the vertical carrying posts.(Alas I was looking for something with a 13 inch span and unfortunately did not need the 11 inch span, so I had to sadly return this beauty. )

Easy to use with my Hobie Lanai. The best part is I can carry the cart with me in my kayak so if I take my kayak out in a different location, the cart stays with you. Love this cart

We got the Hobie Trax when we first got our Tandem Island. For a heavy boat, heavy duty wheels are essential. Bu the Trax was so buoyant that it was a major struggle to get it in and out. This is much less buoyant, but still a little tricky getting it for old farts like me. We are experimenting with which location to put it as there are two locations on the Tandem Island, mid-ship and aft. Also they are both adjustable as to how far up they insert into the boat.

I highly recommend this cart, I’ve used Boonedox Lansing Gear on my previous 2016 Outback and while it was convenient deploying the wheels it didn’t feel like it evenly dispersed the weight on a loaded kayak, it still felt heavy to pull around. With the Hobie HD cart I can fully load my new 2019 Outback to the brim and this cart makes my kayak feel almost weightless! I love it, but I highly suggest going on YouTube and look at some mods for this cart to make it easy to load and unload
