I have a large in-ground pool in my back yard and on numerous occasions I have had to rescue many different types of animals from my pool. A lot of times they are scared, exhausted, and really don't want to be anywhere near me. This pole has been a life saver, literally. I've used this pole to lead animals around the edge of the pool to the stairs where they can get themselves out of the water on their own. Squirrels, cats, a German Shepherd, Opossum, and even a trash pandas have been safely extracted from my pool thanks to this pool. Very sturdy, easy to use. highly recommend.

Bought this to catch iguanas but the loop is too big for the small ones.

I read another review about a chemical smell before I purchased and they were right, As soon as I open the box the smell was almost nauseating from the chemical rubber handle! Anything that bad is probably cancer causing! It was very hard to thread together and by the time I got it threaded together, the cable was all twisted up so it wasn't even usable as a catch pole. I would opt for something better quality

The catcher pole is a must-have for safely handling wild animals. While it's easy to assemble and made of nice quality, don’t wait until you need it to put it together—have it ready to go. Handling wild animals can be risky, but this pole increases your odds of staying safe. I’ve practiced with my dogs, and it’s pretty straightforward to use. Hopefully, I won’t need it, but it's reassuring to have on hand.
