Literally the same stock handle that already comes on the 500 magnum, inside and out. If you broke your handle it’s a perfect replacement. Only different is the Hogue emblem on the handle replacing the S&W emblem. S&W must have used Hogue grips for it. Same exact thickness, color, grip, insides, everything. Also this is not a sleeve, it’s the entire handle. As far as quality that’s 5 stars, but if you think you’re going to upgrade your 500 you’d only be replacing with what you already have.Returning because it’s $40 and my 500 magnum is brand new.

Nice fit on my S&W Model 69. Takes the sting out of the recoil. Allows a nice purchase on the grip to accurately fire the revolver.

These grips work great and fit is correct. I was a little concerned by the reviews that stated that there were gaps around the frame, but I thought I'd take the chance. When I initially put them on, there indeed were gaps around the frame. After I studied the problem for a minute, I realized 2 things.1. You must hold the grips in the position that they should be in and push up on them while tightening. 2. If gaps start to appear, you have over tightened them. Back the screw off until there are no gaps. I have used the Smith with these grips on it and everything was/is fine. The grips are secure, no problems

These are the best grips I have ever used on a revolver. Yes, other grips are prettier and/or easier to conceal but with these, I have extremely positive control, and recoil on all my 44 magnum’s is easily managed, even with repeated firing.

My 2nd shot out of the box with the factory grips gave me this blister. See the circled pyramid shape of the factory grips in the pics. That comes into contact with my hand, which I suspect is what caused the ripped skin on my 2nd shot out of the box.I bought these Hogue grips immediately after returning from the range. Notice from my video that the blistered area does not come into contact with the grips. The installed Hogue grips don’t feel any softer than the factory grips, but they are noticeably more comfortable when handling the gun. This elimination of the “pyramid” may be why Hogue grips appear to reduce recoil.I haven’t shot the gun with the Hogue grips yet. So, a final comparison is not available. But, I’ll give you an update when I do.

Purchased and installed on a S&W 629 (round butt). Installation took about a minute and required only a screwdriver. Grip is sized to fit medium to large size hand. A shooter with a small hand or short finger reach may find this grip a bit too large. Grip shape and texture is perfect...provides a sure hold of the revolver while drawing, shooting, and re-holstering. Because this grip completely covers the gun's backstrap, I'm pleased to report no more painful shooting sessions with the .44 magnum. Highly recommended for softening the recoil of hard-kicking wheelguns.
