Right out of the box it works great. I bought a shape or some time ago and I've been using it, and this one just works so much better, so much quicker. The chalk stays on the tip better than it did with my old shaper. It even comes with instructions which seems kind of rare nowadays. But it tells you exactly how to use it. It's made of a nice piece of anodized aluminum, and it does come with an extra razor blade and the Allen wrench to replace it.

Ok, this is my new favorite tool. I was looking for something that would remove the mushroomed tip on my cue, and this does exactly that. It saved it off like a pencil sharpener for you pool cue. Just be careful and go slow. It will shave the feral if you keep going. It also shapes the tip very easily too. This is my new go too shaping tool.

Not much to say here. It’s pretty hard to screw up what is essentially a large pencil sharpener. It’s solid and well-built but not the most comfortable design to hold and use. But it’s not like you’ll be working with this for an hour. It arrived sharp and cut cleanly. A nice addition to my man cave to keep my gear in tip top shape.
