Just purchased this as a gift for Christmas. I had purchased it to go with a Bearcat Scanner. When the recipient attempted to charge the scanner this charger fit into the wall receptacle too loosely. It wouldn't stay plugged into the wall so the new scanner could not be charged. Very disappointed.

A must if you have a uniden BCD436 hand held scanner as the AA batteries will only last you 4-6 hours of use.

This charger works perfectly with the scanner we ended up with. It lists the scanners it will hook up with and ours was on the list.
