Love the side by side receptacles. We found the sizes to be perfect for our needs. The plastic cans are easy to remove for dumping and cleaning. We love the small recycling lid for convenience. Make sure to measure your space and allow room for the lid to lift. Couldn’t be happier with this.

We absolutely love this trash can! The trash compartment is generously sized, and the recycling section is just right. The ability to wrap trash bags around the bins and secure them with the rubber band is a game-changer - no more slipping bags when throwing food in! We also love the included magnetic stickers to label each side for guests. It's a small touch that makes a big difference. This trash can is both practical and stylish - a perfect addition to any home!

I liked the trash can, which separates recycling from regular trash. The quality and look are excellent; there are no problems with that. I didn't want an automatic trash bin because the trash bins usually open when you pass by and get annoying, and this one is perfect. The only issue I found with the trash can is that after using it for a few weeks, the actual slot for the carbon odor control filter that goes on the left side was not designed properly since it falls out constantly to the point that it got lost with the trash and thrown out with the trash. I haven't found the blue slot on Amazon to buy it to be able to use the filter, which is one of the reasons I purchased it.

I am not going to lie I was super nervous since it’s pretty pricey and it’s a trash can. But it is actually really nice quality. It looks super sleek which is great since it’s a large item that goes into your kitchen. The trash can is 10-11g but I use a normal glad trash bag and it fits perfectly fine you can see it handing out either. The trash bin and recycling bin come out so that makes it really easy to put the bag back on. The recycling is small but as long as you break down most kitchen item sized boxes and fold them they do fit. Overall I really like the trash can and it works perfectly. The little recycling open thing on the lid is cute and it’s really only functional when it’s close to 50% full or less but it’s great for a party

Easy to empty. The cover controls odors and any inquiries by nosy pets. It is easy to empty and is large enough you don’t have to change every day. It’s a bit on the expensive side but you get your money’s worth. I will recommend it to anyone. Thank You.

EDIT: I tried to reach out to the company to see if they would replace since this breaking in 13 months is not acceptable. Their response: "Unfortunately, we were unable to process this replacement request due to being too far outside of the warranty period. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and greatly appreciate your patience and understanding." Considering my trashcan failed 13 months after purchase and their warranty is only for 1 year, it certainly feels like this is a case of planned obsolescence.-------In theory this can is fantastic, and we loved it while it worked. But as other users have called out, the build quality on this is awful -- the internal components for the step function are simple plastic and broke on us after very normal use for the last year. So disappointing considering how expensive this can is. Save yourself the trouble and just spend the extra $50 on the simplehuman can if you want a dual compartment trash can.

Love that you have two cans trash/recycle within one nice box. The plastic containers are very sturdy and solid (impressive). Foot pedal works every time, can lift up the lid to stay open. Like that it has filter, places to secure bags. (Came with some free scented bags).I like that you have a lot of room that almost, but not quite, has room for a 13 gallon bag. Lots of recycle room. My only issue was the filter/odor control kept popping off initially, but eventually stayed after a day of playing with it.WOULD BUY AGAIN.

I needed to replace our Simple Human after 9 years only because it was disgusting. It worked great! Favorite trash can ever! UNTIL we received this one!! I went for the larger can. Our Simple Human was great but we filled up the trash and recycle very quickly. The Home Zone Living can is a BEAST!! It is much bigger, yet does not take up more room since it is taller. I like that the trash part is larger than the recycle part. I also love the recycle door in the lid. Super convenient. The metal step is very strong and it seems it will last. Its also just tall enough that my German Shepherd can't stick her whole head in the can when I open it!! The only thing that we are going to have to adjust to is the liner bags. They are way bigger than the bin and you have to maneuver the bag so it doesn't stick out when the lid is closed. Will be experimenting with some other bags to see which one fits best.
