Easy to install and stays locked tight. The only thing I wish was different was the amount of room provided to get your hand down in proper wiping position. The piece in front where the hole is cut out does not go deep enough.

My mother has one at her house that is so uncomfortable. I dreaded buying one for me for my surgery. But I needed one and I am happy to say that this seat is very well made and so comfortable. It does not feel funky flat like my moms. It has a nice contour and the height is perfect if you have a low potty. Mine is the original potty in my 1952 house. I've not replaced it because it still works fine. But my foot surgery caused me to have a need for a higher toilet. Now my surgery is almost healed and I'm actually feeling like I'll keep my potty seat..lol. its that nice.

Pros. Easy assembly. Two large plastic screws.Hard plastic. Very sturdy.Lightweight. Can be easily taken on a trip (save the box for that)Easy to take on and off as desiredPrice is very inexpensive.Once placed and adjusted to your commode, it can be lifted "popped" on and off easily and does not loose it's holding ability.Stays in place very securely.4 inch lift.Cons. Hard plastic is not comfortable to sit on.If you are a man, small opening requires care to keep stream in the bowl. (fix = pop it off)If you are a man and need to do #1 while sitting, you have to scoot back as far as possible. Keep in mind if you re doing that while also doing #2 you can't go very far and still have an open bowl. The front of the seat has an opening with a trough taking up space. If you are too far forward you will pee on that and the urine will run on the floor. If you are too far back some of #2 may not make it to the bowl. Solution is to lift the seat off and use the seat that comes with the commode.I found my self having to remove the seat so much that I finally stopped using it. My wife did not like the hard seat and said it was uncomfortable. If you want a raised commode seat I would recommend looking further. However this one is really inexpensive compared to others and worth a try for that reason. And, it is far cheaper than buying a new ADA commode. You may like it. Apparently a number of other reviewers have.

I am 64yo 6'1" 275lbs. Both of my knees have had quadracep tendon ruptures and I'm a real light footed graceful burnin urn of churnin funk...can't dance and can't jump...I can hardly walk...I say this because I can't figure all the angst over attaching this dude to the toilet. The seat is designed to sit on the bowl of a round (not elongated) toilet...it has to sit on the toilet seat of an elongated toilet. My toilets are Kohler Hi-lines and those are elongated and this seat sits on the Kohler seat perfectly. The design of this seat allows for easy paperwork. As for it being safe, I have set my Blue Whale-ness on this thing and I've tried...I've reached, turned, leaned...nothing close to an over commitment to fall off or any off balance issue...maybe I missed my call as a gymnast..anyway, big boys out there needing a toilet seat riser throw this seat in your selection possibilities...I recommend it...I do not use the little plastic knobs to try to fix this to the toilet...the people that put those in have got to be laughing because there's no chance they'd be effective...they're not necessary anyway..that's just my considered opinion...it's a solid seat that works all on it's own without the placebo knobs.

I ordered two different seats and was going to see which I liked best or if either one would work. The answered questions really worried me that this one would not fit my Kohler All in one toilet. I could not believe how easy it was to put on. Took a total of 5 minutes to get totally in place and ready to use. I didn't have to remove the existing seat or lid. I can take this one off if I didn't want to use it myself or if guest were a little wary of using it. It is perfect for my husband that has Parkinson's Disease. I like this one so well, I just ordered another one for the other bathroom.Suggestion to anyone who is having problem with this riser slipping off commode. Sometimes the simplest solution is the best. Mine was slipping off then I changed how tight I had the bolts. If they are cinched in too tight they will slip off. I noticed that the riser was actually slipped upward off the stool. So I loosed the bolts a bit and now it works great. Too much is not necessarily the best option. When you first put on your riser, you can tighten it in where you think it will hold it good, then look at it a couple of hours later, and if it is slipping upwards off the stool, it means it is tightened too much. Just back off and check again later. If still slipping off upwards it is still too tight. Just adjust slightly each time you do. Now if it is just falling off the stool, it needs to be tighter. I have had mine on now for a couple of weeks and it has stayed in place great. Now another thing, if you need to remove the riser to allow the fellows to stand and use the toilet, just lift the riser off, without adjusting the bolts, and when they are through doing their thing, just press the riser back into place. You probably won't need any adjusting and if you do, just adjust very slightly and then check later. I love this riser. It solves my problems with my husband who has Parkinson's and can't lift himself up off a regular stool. My toilet is the Kohler All-In-One toilet. This is the only one that I have found that meets all my needs. The opening is also great. Thank you Homecraft!
