I decided to replace my slop / laundry sink since it had 30 years of paint and grime, then figured it would be a good time to replace the faucet as well. When dry fitting things it became apparent the block my old faucet sat on was not part of the sink and that's still the way they make them (assuming a below feed faucet like a kitchen sink). So this little block has a simple and specific purpose, which it does just fine.

The size of the holes in the sink and the size of the washers on the screws allow some freedom of movement do that you can move the block around to fit your sinks mounting holes. Could be made easily with a 3-D printer.

I had the faucet on my (very old) basement utility sink replaced. The metal support base under it was rusting (but not so much that I didn't spend a frustrating half hour with various tools getting it off). This fit between the new faucet and the sink base perfectly.My advice is to put the screws in once before you actually install it, since the plastic base is not threaded.

It won't fit my laundry tub unless I drill new holes in the tub. The price wasn't that much and it shipped quickly. Maybe I'll find some other use for it someday.

Its not bad but it is braced inside and not a solid piece.
