Bought this to replace a rusted and broken spring on a Honda HRR216VKAA lawnmower. Its definitely shorter then the old spring. How much I don't know because the old spring busted off at the end (maybe a quarter inch or so). Took awhile to finally muscle it on the mower. Problem is now the self propel is ON all the time!! This is because there is so much tension created by the spring on the drive belt!! I tried to adjust the control line but the adjustment control arm won't turn!! Also, the rear wheels won't go backward due to the very tight drive belt!! I called Honda today and confirmed this is the right spring to use. At least I can cut the lawn again tomorrow but obviously someone made this particular spring a tad too short!!

It looks sturdy enough but in less than 8 hrs of use it snapped! Very suprised
