This was an inexpensive alternative for replacing a broken spool pin on the Brother XL-6562 sewing machine & you get 2 in the package! Since I repair sewing machines for a charity, having inexpensive extra parts is important.I took off a star as it didn't fit the post right away due to a some extra plastic in the hole - using the side of a drill bit, I filed down the center hole ridge until it fit onto the post. Other than this little kink, it works well.I had removed the broken post & forgot to label which side was up so had to reference the photo of the broken one. Tip: put long tab down so that spool has a slight upward angle. Consult youTube for videos of how to remove the cover of your machine (be aware where the dials are placed - I need to take apart the front again as I have the stitch patterns wrong ;-))
