What can I say beyond "it's a Honeywell product"? The Honeywell Desk Lamp for Home Office is exactly as described, and meets my expectations of the brand. It folds up flat and is level and stable when set up. The head adjusts easily and stays where you put it, and the long bar gives a wide area of illumination. It gets warmer than I'd expect from an LED light, but it isn't hot. The color temperatures are distinct from one another, and the brightness is continuously adjustable. The touch controls aren't 100% intuitive, so I haven't tested the timer or the "working mode" (what the heck is that?). I could burn a calorie and open the instruction manual, though, so that's really on me.I didn't realize until writing this review that it came with charging ports (yay!). Means I can free up one or two ports on my PC.Having purchased many a $30 IKEA lamp that crapped-out on me in a year or two, I can say that if this one has the lifespan stated in the description,* it's excellent value for the money -- and I'll lobby Amazon for a sixth star.30,000 hours of use = 750 forty-hour weeks = 14 years OR almost 3.5 years of round-the-clock useNote: I rely heavily on reviews for my purchases, and I give honest reviews in return, whether the items are free or paid for. I refuse to be responsible for junky consumer landfill, so I order only what I can really use, and only if the listing and the seller's main page pass the sniff test. So if it seems like I give an unusual number of positives, it's because I'm very selective about what I order in the first place. I hope these reviews are helpful!

It's always fun writing about a great, well-made product, and this is surely one of those. It's made by Honeywell, and has the finish and features one would expect from a name brand. This lamp has four different light colors (2700k, 4000k, 5000k, 5700k) which actually come in useful depending upon the time of day, and six different levels of brightness (up to 500 LM max), so there's a lot of flexibility on the lighting side of this lamp which is why I selected it. It sits on my desk, illuminates my workspace, or my face for zoom and teams video meetings, and makes everything that much more legible from a reading perspective given my fading eyesight. This is a really useful lamp.Along with the pure functionality comes all the other attributes which let's face it - makes a product great verses just very good. This misses the mark in a couple of areas:1. While I can live with a wall wort with a proprietary barrel DC power plug into the lamp, why must it be into the back of the lamp and not recessed under the lamp like so many others do? This makes it so that your lamp must be at least one inch from the wall or other obstruction you might otherwise want this leaning on, which is a lost use of very valuable space. I'd expect better from Honeywell. The adapter is a standard issue 12v 24W mult-voltage wall wort, but should have been re-engineered to simply use the more ubiquitous USB-c and as I suggested installed underneath to provide a clean wiring.2. This lamp flexes so you can move it forward, and even left to right and even fold it forward onto itself to obscure the lamp. That's all pretty good. The lamp should be able to flex up so one could get reflected light off the ceiling (maybe I'm just wishing here) and it should flex back so you could adjust the large support to adjust beyond the 90 degrees it currently provides. These are all plastic hinges, so engineering would not have been that difficult with almost no incremental cost, and it would have made the lamp more usable (and essentially reclaim some of that lost space from the rear cord!). User flexibility is key.3. The two USB ports are only available on the right-hand side. I of course am using this lamp with it's back against the left hand side of my desk adjacent to a wall, so I lose visibility of those ports. No reason ports could not have been made available on both sides. A magsafe charger would be more practical as many lamps currently have, and is a great use of the unused real estate on the top of lamp base above the controls. So would I buy this again? There are probably other lamps out there at comparable price points which provide some of the missing flexibility of this lamp, but this is a brand name with a great finish on the product and wonderful reputation should something ever go wrong. It's rated for 30,000 hours of light usage. Tough call, but I'd get this again knowing the deficiencies I noted above. The quality of the lamp, the varying brightness and the color temperatures, and my confidence in the life expectancy outweigh the negatives for me. For most people this should meet their needs and beyond.

I wanted a strong reading light, one that's suitable for both bedside and worktable. I needed one that doesn't have a large footprint, yet has a relatively wide coverage area. This Honeywell light fills the bill on those accounts.I find the touch controls to be intuitive and easy to use. At first, I thought that it might need some raised identifying marks or dots for the controls, if or when needed to turn the light on in the dark. I realized that, when I used it as a bedside light, it wasn't an issue; the on/off button is by itself, on the far left side of the base, and that was all I needed to remember when reaching over to turn the light on in the middle of the night.I find the folding arm, with the additional pivoting function, to be very useful. When finishing my work, I can fold the lamp in half, opening back up the room on my work table. The pivoting head is very handy, when illumination is needed for other areas on my work table. If I did have one area of concern, it would have to do with the longevity of these pivots and hinges. They are mostly plastic, as is the rest of the lamp, and even though the plastic seems to be strong, I'm not sure how it will react over time to my daily bending and adjustment. If I didn't need to adjust the light so often, I wouldn't have any concerns, and, as it is, that concern could very well be unfounded. Only the test of time can tell on the plastic hinges' integrity. If that issue comes up, I'll edit this review, but in the meantime, I do find this to be an excellent light, at a good price point.
