I bought this product to use as "regular tweezers" — for splinters and such.While the rubber/plastic (?) grips are effective, the "actual pinching action" is NOT at the tip. Though the rubber/plastic pads do cover the tips, it is only about a third of an inch from the tips that the tweezers finally come together, so one apparently must use the tweezers parallel to the splinter or whatever, rather than dealing with the object straight on.(This must be deliberate, as it is true for all three pairs of tweezers in the package I received.)

I thought I would like these rubber tips to help pick up pills that I drop preparing my containers for my weekly/daily pills. I found that the tips added just enough width that made it more difficult to pick up the pills. Also, I had to bend the tweezers part further because they do not open very wide initially. I was careful to make sure I didn’t break them and that helped but I’m going to search for the product without a rubber tip.
