I’d been looking for some purple hood latches for my Jeep Gladiator for a while and only managed to find the plastic stick on covers. I came across these metal latches and they’re perfect! They’re heavy duty, the colour is vibrant and the box contains everything you need to make the switch. I’ll update this review after I put them on my Tank so I can speak to the installation process.

These latches are made from quite heavy metal, which I guess is a good thing for durability. They look good once on.Although, installation instructions could have been a lot better, a lot of guess work is needed. I was also disappointed as the rubber pad that goes between the body and the hood was not included. You have to pop them off the original latches and attach them to the new ones. I don't like that because they look a lot older (see pic), and also they don't fit quite right. They stay on due to the weight of the hood but I would rather them be firmly attached as opposed to just being wedged in there. Also, there were some extra parts in the box, I have no idea what they are for which is a little concerning.

Was looking for something to upgrade the rubber factory hood latches on my 2015 Jeep Wrangler. These latches are exactly what I was looking for. Latches are great but installation can be a bit rough. This has nothing to do with the latch just the location of the latch on the front fenders. Easiest way I found was to go from the wheel well up, to get to the bolt. All in all, install took about 30 minutes. Highly recommend.

These were nice and fit well. They were not hard to install.

Awesome set of hood latches that are super well made and crafted. I could tell as soon as I opened the box that these meant business by how heavy they are. Installation is a breeze and straightforward. Fits perfectly over oem spot. Functions great and should hold up for as along as I own the jeep. Plus they just look flat out good, And adds a splash of color. Excellent value here 5 stars *****

I installed a similar version on my 2020 JL, once my buddy saw mine he wanted an upgrade for his 2021. Installation was easy, they included 3 allan keys and everything fits nice and secure and has a nice quality and heft. Great purchase.

Update: At roughly 3 months in, I noticed one of the latches was not wanting to come un-latched. Annoying but not a major issue. Now, less than 4 months on the vehicle - and that latch was stuck and then broke in half when trying to get it to open. Thankfully I kept my factory latches to reinstall. These are solid metal hood latches, a different feel from the lightweight plastic and rubber factory ones. Some additional small parts to figure out how it all works, but not too terribly difficult. I appreciate the nylon lock nuts to keep the hardware from vibrating loose over time. I do wish they had come with new rubber hood bumpers, one of the factory ones was missing off my OEM latches. They did come with a spare set of the 'locking' tabs, which was a nice touch.Once installed, they have a very solid attachment and I don't feel like they may come loose (I've seen other aftermarket latches where this is an issue).Over all, I'm happy with them and they didn't take too long to install.

So, the product itself is pretty good. Solid metal, paint is nice and consistent throughout, comes with all the hardware you need, most of it is already put together so all you need to do is attach one piece to the jeep and the other to the clamp. Nice and easy. Problem is the purple is more of a blue and doesn't match ANY of the other purple accessories on the jeep. It's bad enough that I don't even want to install it. It'd stick out like a sore thumb. Trying to think of a way I can mod it/paint it/plastidip or something to get it the right color, but it's unfortunate it doesn't match out of the box
