I got this for my grandson and he loves it! I have gotten him a couple without the hood and he wears them a lot! Because they block the sun, they are cool and comfortable! And despite what you first think about the fabric, they wear really well. My grandson just turned six and plays hard outside. These have held up to his abuse. His family have started fishing and that is why this year I got him the hooded style. Excellent product, that really does protect you from the sun!

My son always wears rash guards. They help obv with rashes from lifejackets etc, but also from the sun! This one was great, loved the color. Overall great buy

I think this is my sons favorite sun/swim hoodie, if it's not in the laundry it will be the one he grabs every time for summer camp, and the beach. It dries quickly on his body, especially in the sun after leaving the water, and the material is light weight so it's more comfortable to wear on hot days.

I have 4 boys who are rough on everything. This is our 3rd of these tops we have purchased through Amazon in the last 3 years. My boys are tall and thin with long arms and these fit perfectly. They are excellent quality and hold up really well in chlorine and sun. We don't rinse them out after being in the pool and they haven't stretched out or lost shape at all. The yellow/orange top does have quite a bit of green in it. We will keep buying these for years to come.

I have purchased this swim shirt for my two boys for the last 3 years, they are now 6.5 and almost 9 years old. The hood protects their neck, ears and scalp when playing for long periods in the sun. They are a little thinner then some of the Carter's and Mini Boden swim shirts I've purchased but that just means they dry faster and take up less space in a suitcase or beach bag. If on a vacation and you want to wash and re-use the next day, this shirt dries quickly. At this price I don't care if they get them dirty in the sand and I sometimes put them in the dryer (I always air dry the more expensive ones). My 6 year old (45", 45 lbs) wears an XS. My oldest son wore size Small from age 7-8 (about 48" and 55-60 lbs), see attached pic with yellow shirt. At almost 9 (50", 63 lbs) he can wear the small but he prefers the length of the medium. The medium is wider and longer. I like the shirts tight when they are swimming, but they like them looser when playing on the beach. The colors have all matched the online picture. I prefer the bright colors so I can spot them in a crowd of people.

Nice shirt, good quality. Color is vibrant. I had to return because the arms were too short. The thumb hole is nice, but with arm lengths too short, the holes can’t be used comfortably. Size small which says 7/8 is definitely closer to a 5/6 shirt.

The Medium size fit my 9-year old son. He’s tall and slim for his age and the shirt fit him very well. His favorite are the thumbholes on the sleeves. He was fascinated by a similar shirt of his dad’s especially the thumbholes. I found out that it is hard to find shirts with thumbholes in his size and for his shirt. He’s very happy with this shirt!
