Your cart is empty.On long descents dropping thousands of vertical feet your brakes take a beating. In these conditions you quickly learn that not all rotors are created equal. Hope claims the Floating Disc Rotor resists warping even under severe heat from sustained braking. This is achieved using a floating design consisting of a CNC-machined aluminum carrier riveted to a laser-cut stainless steel outer rotor. When the outer rotor is subjected to serious heat it expands. By allowing it to float separately from the center carrier the rotor can expand and shrink at will without stressing the carrier, preventing permanent deformation. The rotors come in five anodized color options, making them the perfect complement to your Hope brakes. Hope says they can be used with other brake brands, but you must check the clearance with your caliper once everything is installed, as the rivets sit about 1mm above the braking surface and you don't want them contacting your brake pads. Depending on your frame and fork mounting style as well as your desired rotor size, you may need a Hope disc brake adapter to correctly space your caliper.

As everything with Hope, these are excellent rotors both well designed and machined - except for the fact they are wider at the rivets than the rotor width. What that means is the rotors are going to rub some calipers including Shimano SLX. Prior to ordering, be conscious about which calipers these well made discs will work with. I am sad about the incapability but will keep them since I have other bikes with Hope brakes which are excellent brakes if you can find them.

Works great on the front wheel of my santacruz nomad but will not work for the rear. It will rub the frame.

Fits perfect with XTR 9120 brake. Tight tolerance but snug like a glove or whatever mixed metaphor you won't be thinking about when your brakes are smooth.

********** if u r using sram and want these to work fine be carfule order 200mm size not 203mm !!!! or u can use washers :)********* after using them it's impossible to make them work without rubbing ... the hope floating rotor has an issue********* all the pro racers says that they r using only the steel vr. coz of that problem that floating rotor has********* no matter how u fix the bent or the rubbing ,the rotor will return to it's old bent !iknow they are floating rotors an they ment to float but they dont float the get bent all the time ! and they are a smi float not a full float !what a wast of money .... stay with steel only floating are garbage ... endup using the old sram rotor
