Beat the system! This slick little cable lets you use your mixer's insert jacks as direct outs - for recording! The cable accomplishes this while leaving the signal path intact for your mixer. Now you can easily record true multitrack mixes of live gigs - without investing in a whole new mixer! Stage mixers are great for live venues, but when you need separate direct outs from each channel (for sending out to a multi-track recorder, for example), you’re usually out of luck. But now, using Hosa's new DOC-106 Direct-Out Cable, you can actually trick the stage mixer’s channel insert jack into thinking it’s a direct output! Ordinarily, the insert jack "steals" the individual channel’s signal for outboard processing. But the DOC-106’s clever wiring provides a direct output while allowing signal to continue through the console too. Works on any mixer that has conventionally-wired insert jacks (Tip = Send, Ring = Return).

Could have made these myself, but these are excellent quality, and didn't take hours to make all that I needed. Work perfectly.

I use this adapter with a Gibson ES-345 "stereo-wired" (each pickup has an independent output) guitar to sum the two pickups to a normal "mono" output. The length is perfect, and I've not experienced the crackling or intermittent quality control issues that others have reported.A simple, yet elegant, solution.

Using these cables to provide direct out to a Zoom H6 from this mixer: . Work exactly as advertised! Only thing to be aware of is when using these as insert / direct outs, you will likely be bypassing any EQ or onboard processing of the sound from your mixer - you're getting RAW sound from your mixers preamps and that's what gets sent out.Excellent product. Works as advertised.

Allows you to split the signal between your mixer and a recording interface, allowing you to use the individual channels of your mixer to record. Works as advertised... One word or caution; DO NOT USE PHANTOM POWER ON BOTH THE MIXER AND YOUR RECORDING INTERFACE AT THE SAME TIME! This causes a feedback of the phantom power to the Insert I/O port and will burn out the circuits! Very strange that this information is not documented anywhere I can find!

Yes! This was exactly what I needed. My expression pedal, Behringer FCV100, wanted a TRS plug for it's CV output, but my Digitech RP55 pedal wants a TS plug for the controller input socket. So this worked perfectly, and now in addition to volume, I can control Wah and other functions through the pedal in the RP55. The Guitar goes into the input socket on the Rp55, the output goes to the amp and the FCV100 goes into the controller socket on the RP55... Muy Simple!! Yeehaw! Now I just need to learn how to use wah and some other features.

I ordered two of these and they worked fine for my purposes. I was using them to convert inserts on my mixing board into aux sends and didn't have an issue with either of them. 15 bucks a piece is a little steep considering you can get the same functionality by just plugging in a regular TS cable halfway, but nevertheless, they did the job they're supposed to do.

These things are absolute junk. Of the four that I purchased here, three of them have shorts. If you wiggle them around just right you get a signal. NOT what you want for recording. There has been no responce from Hosa so far. Save your money!
