This was awesome sending notes to an iPad over USB-C ... until I used pitch bend (PB), which sent a slew of note-on commands and then held them. In that case, sometimes panic would work, sometimes not. I tested PB from multiple paths using two keyboards and one virtual controller. Also, when connected directly to the very capable KeyStep Pro MIDI keyboard, no notes were sent at all. Only when connected to a MIDI patch bay (MRCC 880) did notes pass from the Arturia to the iPad. That's kinda weird to me, not sure about that one.So, while it is quickly recognized by MIDI monitors and synths, and it may work well in a pinch, I can't rely on it to not do other funky things with a keyboard, drum machine, patch bay or other devices.Update: On another note, the seller was wonderful to work with and communicated with me directly on a full refund even after my original review. Great seller.

Before buying this product, I had tried another similar product and it just wouldn't work. So, I was hesitant buying this one. This one works perfectly. I use it to connect my old Yamaha digital piano to my Samsung S10+ phone to record MIDI. I am very impressed with the product. I also like that it comes with USB as well as USB-C connector. It's also compatible with many operating systems and doesn't require special drivers. I strongly recommend it.

Got this to use my old Yamaha keyboard as a MIDI controller and it works great but…you put the cable labeled IN in the OUT port and you put the cable labeled OUT into the IN port which just seems bananas, weird, incomprehensible. Did they make a huge manufacturing error and then just decide to sell them anyway and tell users to switch the cables? Anyway, I put a piece of blue electrical tape over the IN and OUT words and wrote the correct word so there was no confusion should I ever use these elsewhere. Aside from the mislabeled connectors, this cable system is pretty great, it doesn’t require any special drivers (which a newer keyboard does). Overall, good working cables but reversing the labels is a pretty big mistake.
