This turnbuckle was much more heavy duty than I expected. It is finely machined and very easy to attach and use. I expected this job to be very dufficult, but this turnbuckle made it very simple. I can't imagine too many loads this turnbuckle couldn't handle.

I am using this turnbuckle to tie a tree cable to a metal stake embedded in concrete. Previous turnbuckles failed due to a wrap around hook which would unfold from too much wind pressure on the tree. Due to the design of this new turnbuckle that can't happen.

I ordered the 3/apparently can’t do it on 8 size from this vendor and three from another vendor. This brand was much better as it had aircraft nuts and it’s threaded way better than the other three definitely worth it.

If it matters to you, the buckle opening specification of "0.78 in (2.0cm)" is not accurate.The opening is even smaller than 0.75" (a 3/4" spade bit would NOT go into the opening).

I bought this turnbuckle to replace one from the home improvement store. The home improvement store turnbuckle was rated at 210 lb, and that was just about exactly the weight at which it broke. This one while looking identical is rated at 3500 lb. It works great with 210 lb, it's very sturdy. A definite good purchase for my zip line!

Made a wood and metal dining room table. Used these as bracing for the legs. Bought large size for length, not strength. Overall quality seems reasonable. Threads aren't exactly centered/straight, so the center portion moves in an eccentric pattern when rotating, but likely not an issue for most. No lock nut supplied.
