Nice bucket of wiffle balls. Hard plastic which is perfect according to my baseball loving son

After spending a small fortune on numerous, cheap dollar-store quality wiffle balls for my 7yo son who is really starting to smash wiffle balls with his cheap plastic baseball bat, we decided to buy a better quality practice baseball. We really like these balls and it is worth the higher price for 40 balls. Plastic is thicker: you cannot really crush these balls in your hand easily like dollar-store balls. They don't dent, get lopsided, or smoosh on one side easily if your kid hits them hard, or if you try to hit them. Our labrador retriever can't crush them flat and ruin them as easily when she tries to steal a stray ball. But these balls are going a lot farther when my son connects as they are a higher quality plastic, but the trajectory is giving him more confidence with his swing. One ball did end up over the fence (oops) which he has not been able to do with the cheap balls. We are not running back and forth to the dollar-store or discount big box store for a 3-pack of cheap, plastic balls every week with these, and I love the storage bucket.

These are great practice balls and are very durable. They give our boys lots of swings, don't fly too far, though far enough to keep their interest. On durability they are some of the best I have seen. We live out in the middle of an orchard and while playing this past Spring we lost 16 balls in the high grass and weeds. When the landowner mowed the area with a tractor all the balls were found and though some were a bit marred none of them broke! I would buy these again in a minute.

Good balls to have some batting practise with your kiddo in the backyard or everywhere else where it is too dangerous to play with regular baseballs. As mentioned in some reviews before, it is hard ti get the balls back in the bucket once they were out. All in all a product I would recommend.

These balls are fantastic. My eight year old just started playing kid pitch balls and has developed a fear of being hit by baseballs. So for practice we were having him hit wiffle balls to ease his fear a bit but they were all cracking with his bat. So we ordered these and they are just the ticket. He hits pretty hard for his age and they are definitely taking the beating. Like others have said, it's hard to stuff them back in the bucket but if you didn't buy it specifically for the bucket, you should be just fine!

If you have to practice batting against a wire fence without getting the park district suing you for damages, this guys will gladly take the beating that a bat and wire fence can dish out. My 170 lbs. 14 year old goes through the bucket at least 6 times per practice. This spreads the stress among the 40 lime green beauties. We have one broken ball in 5-6 outings which I suspect was direct hit into the lead piping of the wire fence structure we use as back-stop. I know this is extremely abusive use and definitely out of bounds of what this product was designed for, but this here to illustrate the ruggedness of these things which makes it deserving of your hard earned peso.

Excellent quality. Heavy duty. Great priceI coach a youth baseball team and with these 40 balls, I can split the team in 4 groups. They each have 10 balls to practice their batting with me or one of my assistant and I am not afraid of having player injured if hit by a foul ball hit by another group.Highly Recommended

This delivers exactly as expected and is good for practice. My young son was always afraid of getting hit so this helped him get used to batting practice even if it's not a real ball. It travels pretty well in pitching for plastic and doesn't hurt too much if my son whacks it at me on a good swing. It can fly pretty far though so if you practice in a smallish backyard, you may be visiting your neighbors to retrieve balls often.

I coach two different youth baseball teams (and will add a third next spring) and try to throw batting practice to each player before every game. These practice baseballs are a great substitute when you don't have access to a field or a batting cage to throw "real" baseballs.I have used sever different practice baseballs and these are, by far, the highest quality that I have run across. Many other practice baseballs dent easily and I have had some that have not even made it through half a season with splitting in half. These are heavy enough to hit hard and the added weight has an added benefit: The ball is less impacted by wind than lighter, cheaper balls. I also like the bright yellow color as they make the balls just that much easier to find when picking them up.I do not use the included bucket but is is also well made and would be usable if I did not want to use my taller, padded bucket to sit on while throwing batting practice. I am already planning on ordering more of these practice baseballs for next spring.
