It works as advertised. Provides cooling for my motor. Fits standard 540 (10th scale) cans well.

Added onto a hobbywing motor and it fit nice a tight. Nice having different mounting options as well. Blows plenty of air and cooled my motor significantly. Would be nice if the wire was slightly longer. Ended up cutting a tiny slit in my reciever box to route the wires then a dab of silicone to seal it back up.

Installed on my Slash Ultimate running 5000 3S. The wires were just long enough to reach the receiver. I rotated the motor and ran the rpm sensor between the heatsinks. This is not for a specific model and there aren’t any instructions so one could install it a number of different ways. Works well to keep temps down especially when using a mesh dust cover.

You have to be careful and take some reviews with a grain of salt. RC has users come from all walks of life, from snot nosed children to engineers.Fit is perfect if you're mechanical inclined. For the Slash, do not assembly as pictured. The best and easiest is mount the fan directly to the heat sinks (with the plastic washers in between and leave out the silly upper bracket. If you do that, it fits perfectly without having to move a thing on a Slash Ultimate. However, the leads are just a bit short if you try to go to the receiver box. However, there really isn't a good reason to install it like that. If you go directly to the ESC fan lead, it's more than long enough. If you already have a fan on the ESC, just make or buy a simple splitter and you're done. I understand, for kids, that may be asking a lot. For an RC enthusiast, installation is simple.

This a 15 min install on the 2wd slash brushless system, turn the motor into a 90° angle, put one heat sink on the bottom and one on the clamp together. Use aluminum plate on top and ready to go. So far doing speed runs, no overheating so far.

Not sure what the other reviews are on about. They must have installed incorrectly or not know how to do basic wire splice/solder.I've ran this on my Slash 4x4 Ultimate VXL 3s and it works perfectly. It keeps the temps cooler. It stays on. The fans are very strong (I have tried many 30-40mm mini fans and these are the strongest I've seen). It is still running well.

Can it work? Yes! BUT, it will need to have the wiring extended to reach the ESC once installed on the motor. After a little trial and error, I was able to assemble and install this on my Slash 4x4. The fit on the motor is excellent and the color matches perfectly. Fan turned right on and seemed to move decent air.Problem is, the wiring is too short to reach the ESC no matter how you assemble or mount. You will need an additional 2" +/- of wiring to comfortably reach.I was able to install the assembly without rotating the motor, as some have described, but it would definitely aid in the install.Pros:Fits motor wellMatches Traxxas blueFan worksPriceCons:No instructionsModification needed to work properlyI am just getting this installed, and will update my review in the near future with longevity use and durability.
