Fit and finish are spot on which is always the case with "Hot Racing." Purchased because I heard about flexing issues with the stock plastic covers! Even though you can't see it on the trucks exterior, it's still a nice upgrade that was easy to install.

We tell ourselves that aluminum parts add a lot more strength, but is it this really worth it? Who knows. I'm running an 8s 2028 system in my X-Maxx with 1.5 mod gears. If there's one part I want to be stronger it's the gear cover. The HR fits perfectly and hopefully adds a little strength.

Hot racing parts are great I got this for looks really but I think it might help my spur gear too. I was breaking them a lot and put this on and the motor mounts at the same time so I'm not sure if it was this or the mounts but something looks like it helped.

I am in the process of changing and or using upgrades to my xmaxx. The product seems sound. No cuts or burrs has been found upon inspection of the product. Good to go.
