I have lots of trouble with gears braking after a few minutes of run. Thought this would help, but gears brake still after a few minutes. Steel gears are not lasting with this motor mount so I put the plastic mounts back in. Also, I do not have any ramps, so I can’t jump it in the air. Gears brake from just driving on the ground. If you are having the same issue, this is not the answer. It won’t hurt to add these. Something else is causing the issue.

Nice nylon locking nuts so even is your strip or break it’s not a big deal. Better head dissipation and looks good.Con: my stock pins line up with the mounts holes but the mounts holes are too small so I had to lose my pins. Most ppl do but I prefer them for peace of mind on the mesh.

Thanks to Traxxas for being cheap, they used the original 6s motor mounts (plastic) for the 8s which has way more torque. This causes the plastic motor mount to flex upon throttle and WILL strip the pinion and/or spur gear.Thankfully we have Hot Racing to fix that problem with this beautiful aluminum motor mount. 10/10 for H.R!!

Until I purchased this motor Mount, I was going through pinion gears way too often. Turns out, the stock Mount wiggles under load and causes the mesh to misalign. I haven’t had to replace a pinion since this purchase.

I put this on my Xmaxx 8s because I kept breaking teeth on my pinion or spur gear. I thought the stock plastic one was giving to much and I think I was right. I have not had any break since I put it on. I have run the truck 4 or 5 times so I think it helped a lot.
