What is included: NewUpgraded IQ 2020 Heater Relay Board w/ Jumpers & Shortened Screws for the front cover of the IQ2020
Description: New(New as of 9-10-2013) This IQ2020 Heater Relay Circuit Board is the newest revision for the 2001-2009.5 IQ2020 Control Box. It's upgraded design provides a more efficient method of connecting the heater's power cord to this board therefore reducing fatigue on the two "beefed up"relays. The black wire from the heater's power cord now connects into the H1 position on the large gray terminal block. The heater's white wire (neutral) connects onto its own separate gray terminal block labeled H2. This will reduce stress on the relays and increase their lifespan due to better transfer of voltage. The ground wire connection remains the same. The incoming power wires and the black & white wire from the heater are inserted into the gray terminal blocks round holes by prying the gate open using a small screwdriver. This upgraded circuit board replaces the 1st, 2nd & 3rd generation boards in the IQ 2020 Control Box found in all 2001-2009.5 Hot Spring, 2001-2009 Tiger River and 2008-2009 Limelight spa models.
Symptoms this part has failed:
No power going to the heater even though the red HTR ON L.E.D. light is lit inside the IQ2020 control box.
The heater board is charred on the front and/or the backside.
Note: In older control boxes, you may encounter that a chip on this new heater relay board prevents the metal guard from seating properly and it may need to be trimmed. Visit backyardplus to watch video or download instructions.
Note #2: This circuit board works in all countries

Worked perfectly!! Easy hook up and the hot tub got nice and hot! Wasn't sure if it was going to work or not since they changed it from the original, but it looks like it will be even better!

The heat went out in my Caldera matinique 2003. This is exactly what I needed as the old one had fried in the back upon inspection. It works great now. Easy fix.

At first I couldn't get heat to work so I called the seller. I sent him a couple pics and within min he helped me troubleshoot the 2 jumpers not being pushed in far enough. Great customer service. Perfect product.Another local spa dealer said I would have to replace all the components at a cost of nearly $1k. This control board worked great. Thank you!

after no luck with air bubble fixes i looked much closer at the heater board and could barely see a little black on the front... ordered this, got it fairly quickly, pulled the old board and sure enough cooked on the backside. had to modify the aluminum arm thingy (cut a long notch out with a angle grinder cut off wheel). wired everything up and boom - heat, hot springs spa was back up to temp that evening. i had to cut the spade type connectors off the heater wires and strip the ends to plug into the updated board, better connection system though. so all around got a hopefully better built board and heat restored for less money than i was expecting it to cost to repair. instructions are very good as well.

I have a 2003 Hot Springs Sovereign spa. Never have had a single problem with it, just took care of it and maintained it as recommended by the manufacturer. Then I noticed the water was getting colder. The ozone bubbled properly, all jets and lights worked properly, etc. I initially suspected the heater may have gone out but when I open the inspection panel to take a peek I noticed the unmistakable smell of a circuit board that had fried. I looked closer and found that the issue was the heater relay board as evidenced by visible burn marks. I located this item and decided to give it a go. After about 20 minutes I had the old board out, the new board in and fired back up the spa. After a few hours the spa was back up to my desired temperature. This is a do-it-yourself project for a moderately capable person and requires few tools . You can save yourself a ton of money doing this yourself. Fast delivery, competitive price, exact fit, easy to understand instructions. Very pleased.
