It appears that the world is full of ordinary-looking ironing board covers that are barely just okay, but this one is truly lovely, the quality appears to be quite good and it fits nicely.

I've used three of these ironing board covers over the past couple of years. Since I am a quilter and needlework person, I use my ironing board almost daily, sometimes applying fusible interfacings, etc. This cover is durable and doesn't cost a lot! Occasionally fusible adhesives get onto the cover, but it doesn't seem to make the cover "sticky" as other covers have become. It doesn't come with a pad, but I put the cover over an existing pad and it works great.

Fits my 14"x54" standard ironing board perfectly! The all around elastic makes for a perfect, taught fit... absolutely no need for extra bands, etc to secure. The extra side pouch was a nice feature, but one that I really had no need for. I attempted to tuck it under the cover in the event I wanted to utilize it in the future, however it made the top surface too bulky, hence I simply cut it off. The background color of this cover is a pleasingly pale ecru (off-white). The flowers, leaves, and butterflies are lovely muted tones of green and pink that don't stand out and demand attention. My old ironing board cover was so thin that I placed this new ironing board cover right over top of my old one. This afforded me a little "extra padding" so that the overall pattern of the board's metal frame did not show through. It's only been a month or two, but I am pleased with the price point, aesthetics, and function of this HOUSEHOLD ESSENTIALS DELUXE IRONING BOARD COVER (Spring Meadow print).I would recommend this product.

This is a nice ironing board cover. It's very pretty with the flowers on it. There is a small hanging pocket attached to it and I have no idea what it's for but so far it doesn't get in my way. If it eventually does I'll cut it off. There is plenty of padding and it fit my board perfectly. Only one drawback and it wasn't enough to take a star away but when it's new there is lint from the cotton fabric on it. Anything that I ironed that was black or navy blue ended up with lint all over it. I didn't want to wash the ironing board cover because of fear of it shrinking so I sprayed it down with spray starch and ironed it. I'm not sure if that really works but it did seem to get better after that.

BE SURE TO READ AND KNOW WHAT YOU ARE BUYING WHEN YOU BUY PADS AND COVERS FOR IRON BOARDS. Some people think they are buying a set and find out that it is only a cover or only a pad until it arrives, although all of the covers and pads are clearly identified in the descriptions at Amazon. This Silicone "Ironing Board Cover" is a very good quality cover and will make ironing a lot easier than using the pad and cover that came with my new iron board also purchased at Amazon at the same time. (I bought the Household Essentials Fibertech Top T-Leg Ironing Board with Cotton Cover (nice board).I had trouble getting the cover to stretch and cover the end of the board at first, but when I put it on in reverse it slid right on. So be sure to put the cover on the small end of the ironing board first, and then stretch over the long end and it will go on easily. I hope this helps.

I LOVE this cover!! It is a bit thin (which I read on the reviews) so I left my old cover on and put this over it. I am so happy to have a nice clean cover to iron on! It's smooth and it was simple to put on (NOT from the pointed end...I read that in a review, it seemed like a crazy idea when I read it, and it was :)) I just slipped it on the flat end and pulled it over the pointed quick and easy!

I don't iron very often - maybe one a month, tops. I store my ironing board out of the way in a small bathroom, and since the old cover was blue, it blended in well with the decor of that bathroom. A few weeks ago I washed that old cover for the first time, and it shrank. I didn't need a new pad, and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a new cover, so I browsed Amazon and this caught my eye. I admit that the color was a factor, but not a very big one, and the price was certainly right. So I ordered it, and I couldn't be more pleased. It fits very snugly right over my old pad (and old cover which sits loosely on top of the old pad), and the blue color is an added bonus. Since I had no trouble with the pattern of holes from the board coming through the old cover, I don't anticipate any with this one, either. The cover has a small pouch on the side which the instructions say is to hold a spray bottle, but I can't think of anything that would fit in it except, perhaps, a clothespin. They do caution against placing an iron in the pouch though, which I found amusing. They also helpfully suggest that you tuck the pouch out of the way if it isn't wanted. They seem like a nice company. I'm happy.

I made a hasty decision to purchase this cover. My wife and I sometimes have conflict of time and we actually need to have two ironing boards at the same time. Yes I am a fully domesticated male. Our new place had an extra ironing board. Great! Purchased this product and there is no padding as some people have mentioned. I think this is actually an ironing board cover's cover. If that makes sense. I have tried to do some ironing and it is not going to work out. I will place this over my existing iron board pad and get a real one. I will then judge at a later time how this is working out. 1/19/13 - As a cover it is adequate. This will work for some ironing boards that has a built in pad and cover and the cover is getting worn out. I had an ironing board that the pad (pad and cover is separate) is fine but the cover was getting worn out. It's doing an adequate job.
