The feeder works great once it is installed. I noticed in the comments that many people had trouble figuring out how the pieces fit, and the visual instructions aren't complete. The black feeder bar installs in the printer body where the back panel was removed before the feed assembly goes in. Make sure it goes in straight and locks into place (the blue tab goes on the right side). Remove the back panel, insert the feeder bar, and lock in the feed tray assembly. You're good to go!

Still trying to install it. The installation manual DOESN'T clearly show how to install the long attachment associated with the automatic feeder in steps 1 & 2. The rest seem very self-explanatory.

If you are looking at the wordless instructions here are a few annotations.Panel 1 is only a parts list, not assembly instructions.Panel 2 is assembly instructions only if you received 3 pieces in the box, in mine those 2 parts were already assembled. The third piece shown is used in the last steps after placing the feeder in the printer, it separates the sheet feeder paper from the roll feeder.Panel 5 shows removal of the back panel by removing 3 screws.Panel 6 says to replace those screws back in the machine after the panel has been removed. This is to reattach the corners of the machine to its interior frame. It takes some extra effort because they are going deeper into the printer, be careful not to cross thread them as you are going into plastic.Panel 7 shows that the circular lock on the back of the feeder should be turned to the left (unlocked). Mine came turned to the right and the feeder would not go into the printer. Finally, I figured that out and it dropped right in.Panel 8 reminds you to turn the lock to the right to lock the feeder in.Panel 9 shows the orientation of the narrow separator bar from the panel 1 parts list. The blue snap in switch should be on the right with the white gears facing up.Panel 10 says just snap the separator in place. It took me several hours of close inspection of the drawings and the printer to figure this out, but when all the steps above are followed it really only takes 5 to 10 minutes.

It's for my printer, but it took me quite a while and some outside help to figure out how to assemble it and attach it to the printer; no instructions, but a booklet (kind of, 3 pages) with pictures showing how it should be attached, no explanations or any other indications of the parts.
