Terrible product! Has no instructions—told me to look online but I can’t find them! Difficult to set up! Only works sporadically and then not well. Now it is printing in 1/4 size print and I have no idea how to correct that. And now it is ticking and clicking when it stops printing so I have to turn it off! It is a real piece of junk!!!

When it works it'll print fine. I'm out of black ink currently and I've only printed 5 shipping labels. The rest was from BS test prints it does on it's own and the cartridge literally leaking. This is a modern marvel at how terrible the driver is. It constantly goes offline - even in the middle of a print. Windows will say it's fine but the device thinks it's bad or vice versa.The only way I can get it to work as a printer is to dumb the driver down with a hp deskjet 2100 driver which is just ridiculous. The average person shouldn't have to deal with this. An experience IT profession shouldn't have to make your product work for you either.

The printer is ok, once you can get it connected. Between the HP App for mobile and computer, I have spent HOURS and HOURS trying to get a stable installed connection to ANY computer on my network. So far I can only successfully print when I use and manually install via USB or connect DIRECTLY to the printer's built in wifi (which means you are not connected to the internet during printing). The HP app always show the printer as ok and ready, but anything I print to the "auto" installed printer fails. But the HP App says the printer is fine.And this is the best I can do after spending hours trying to use the HP way and also manually connecting to IP ports directly.HP YOU HAVE CREATED A WORTHLESS PRINTE IF IT IS NOT EASY TO SETUP AND USE. Holy hell. How many more hours wasted. I hate running a USB cable to whatever I need to print from or directly connecting (which is a process each time also) to get SIMPLE PRINTING. WTH, HP? Get it together. You are known for your printers but this is an EFFING DISASTER. Ease of use? Laughable.2021-03-20 UPDATE:Manually installing the printer is pretty consistent for my printers now. I have tried to scan a few times and it is ALSO AN EFFING NIGHTMARE. Ultimately, I can only get it to scan using the embedded webservice interface. Very clunky. It also does not support scanning legal size paper even though it has an ADF (this is not a problem with any other ADF I have ever used). Lastly, there is NO WAY TO program a button or quick-link to kick off a scan. It is extremely cumbersome and time consuming. OMG. I HATE THIS PRINTER!

let me just start off by saying i LOVE this printer.i purchased this printer before actually going threw and reading reviews( i know i know dumb move) but in my defense i was looking for a printer thatwas compatible with my HP chrome book. because my old canon printer wouldnot connect to my chrome book what so ever,so i did a lot of research and this printercame up a lot so i found it for a decent price on here and bought it.well after i bought it i go threw and start reading reviewsafter reading them i was so worried i bought a piece of crap.well let me inform you this printer is AWESOME!i read so many reviews about it being Slow..this printer is no where near slow, ( unless I'm out of the loop& there's a printer out there that's lighting speed that i know nothing about)this printer IS NOT SLOW! it prints off a full page of words/ pictures in seconds.setup - it took me less than 5 minutes to set this printer up. really easy set upi will say you are REQUIRED to download the HP printer app to set this printer upbut don't worry you just push a few buttons and its set up.HP printer app- the HP printer app is required for set up, but you're going to want this appit connects to smart phones and tablets. i have a iPhone and it works great with it. its nice becausesay you're scrolling on your phone you see something you need to print, just save it to your phone go tothe HP printer app select print & BAM! your printer is printing what you need from your phone. which is SOnice so you don't have to hop on the computer and print it off. the HP printing app for your phone is a nice touch and i LOVE it!!....instant ink- i DID NOT BUY instant ink. i did read a few reviews about that prior to purchase and i decided it wasn't for me so i can't comment on instant ink, but i will tell you the ink that came with this printer worked for me. i did read where a few people couldn't use the ink provided in the box because they didn't buy the instant ink well that's not the case with me. so i don't understand why some people had issues with their ink. but i did buy extra ink just in case because i didn't want to have a new printer with no ink. so i'm already ready for when my ink does run out lol... so i guess don't worry about buying extra ink right now because the ink provided worked. but just do whatever you'd like.Print quality- its excellent for words & picturestech support- i cant comment because i have not needed to talk to tech supportscanner- i have not used the scanner, but it looks nice and i don't think ill have any issues with scanning something or the clarity,so all in all I'm very happy with my printer, i've already told my friends and family how awesome this printer is.i know some people have some crappy reviews but in my personal opinion this printer is awesome and you'll LOVE it.way to go HP you did great with this printer!
