HPS aluminum round tubing is sold in the T6 condition, ideal for sawing, machining, sanding, and polishing. The aluminum pipe can be polished, but due to the softness of the aluminum, care must be taken not to remove too much material, especially in the area near any welds. I got two pipes to cut up and use as inserts. Both were good quality aluminum, held a screw, and didn't bend more than expected, but one of the pipes fit will into my other pipes where the other was a little tighter and had to be filed to start and hammered on. I still would buy again and they would work great for most applications.
