At one time, I owned two cameras. Each with a charger. My girl took one in the split and apparently needed both chargers. So I had to get a charger even though the camera is a little dated, it still makes a great point and shoot for those occasions the Nikon is too bulky to tote around. I've been using this charger for a few months, and there have been no ill effects to the battery life of my camera. The charger does it's job getting my battery topped off with an overnight charge.My only issue with this (as well as the original chargers that came with the cameras) is the the main module has a cord that unplugs from it, with two long cords coming out of either side. I can't imagine any case where you would need to remove one half of the charging cord from the module and this makes the whole thing a tight fit, especially in my charging station where I have a bluetooth, iPhone/iPod, and camera charger. This doesn't diminish performance, but I'd like one with a 3' integrated cord instead of 2 cords totaling closer to 10'.
