It was and still is a good idea to have a kit available for a three-speed ceiling fan, the downside I could only get two speeds out of the switch, and I had to purchase another switch to get three speeds. I couldn't return the switch because was part of the kit, I still need the capacitor.

Works but only has two speeds, super fast or very low. No medium speed.

Existing ceiling fan was barely moving and now its running like new again after the installation. Capacitor and switch was easy to install. Just make sure you turn off the power to the fan first. 😉

Couldn't find one anywhere! Fan stuck on high speed. This was easy to install and worked perfectly! Electricians couldn't even find one so I ordered from Amazon. Excellent piece of equipment.

So happy we ordered this! It works just great and saved us from having to buy an entire new ceiling fan! 10/10!!All we did was watch some YouTube tutorials on fan repair/trouble- shooting, figured out this was the part we needed, and installed per the vids. Our fan still worked via the lights, but the spin speed was slower than molasses (on all settings), to the point it wasn't "fanning" anything. NNow it spins and operates perfectly just like new after installing this. .Buying this part saved us so much money!

Remove a few screws and unplug a single connector. Swap out the push to play wires in the switch and swap the cap. 15 minutes...

I had two ceiling fans on my back porch that had slowed down to only one speed. I was about to go out and purchase two new ones but thought I would take a chance on opening them up to see if there were any parts that could be replaced. I was amazed to see all those components inside that little space but I looked up the parts, ordered them and they came in a few days. The most important thing is to make sure you get the correct capacitor and the correct switch to replace. The repair was quite easy....I made a diagram of how the old components were wired in...then just cut out the old and replaced with the new! My ceiling fans work just fine, all three speeds and I saved my self quite a bit of $$$$$ on new fans. I would recommend these replacement parts for anyone having fan speed issues. And guess what, the coasters are great too!!

Replaced the existing capacitor with this (Hunter fan). The colors are a little different but just match up the numbers, and since my fan used a remote I had to do a reset. After that it all works great. The coaster is actually of good quality as well.

Installed this capacitor in my ceiling fan which had stopped working and now it works like new . Very easy job for the do it your yourselfer. No special talent required . See you tube for videos on how to do it !
