Quick bullet points about sliders:

  • They are not designed to protect plastics, clipons, or rearsets, even though they might help sometimes.

  • You do not want a slider to stick out too far or it will help flip your bike in a crash by snagging on the ground, curb or anything else.

  • You want delrin or plastic to touch down when you crash as they will grind off and not catch on anything and if hit hard enough or direct enough they will shatter.

  • If your slider shatters, grinds off or bends then it did it's job. You don't want it solid after a crash or it didn't absorb any energy but merely transfered it on to what you bolted it to.

  • When f1 cars hit the side of a track they explode as they don't want the drive to absorb the energy. Frame sliders are the same way. You want them to stay attached but get beat up and take the energy.

  • If the bolt on a frame slider bends that's a good thing as the only other option is to put the energy on the frame or mounting point. Better the bolt bends. Also if it didn't bend it might have flip the bike by snagging something. A mangled frame slider, but still on the bike, did it's job.

  • No cut frame sliders aren't a direct bolt on like cut sliders as they often have a bracket.

They fit and look good on my 13 Yamaha R1, the quality seems to be ok, but I won't hurt if they add some instructions.

You get what you pay for. NOT carbon fiber just hydro dipped. The bolts thread does not match the hole to install. Get a new bolt or hope you never have to take it out again. Looks good from far away but far from a good product. I would not buy again.

My bike fell over today while washing it in the driveway. I had these sliders installed on the bike to prevent any damage to it the event my bike fell over, or I dumped it while riding. On impact, the left side slider bracket snapped like a crayon and all the damage that it should have prevented happened and more! The more part is that the slider actually dug in to my plastic causing more damage than if it had not been on my bike. The actual impact point on the slider, seen in the pict., just rubbed some of the paint off. The hard knocks lesson here is that these sliders are just decoration that will not perform as advertised and may even cause added damage to your bike, or you! Amazon should remove all variations of this manufacture's fraudulent product from their website.

Very disappointed,I needed 3 hours to put them on because they did not fit in the bike the way they supposed to do.You will have to drill some parts in order to put them on if you do not want them to damage the paint of your bike.Very cheap bolts and materials, they feel like wood or plastic. The "carbo" paint is very unprofessional and it doesn't come with instructions, you have to figured out how to install them.I do not recommend this product.
