Nice looking bolo tie. Perhaps not heirloom quality, but looks and wears just fine. I just started wearing bolo ties with the Western style vests I wear, and this is a nice addition to my modest collection of bolo ties.I ordered the “Tiger Eye Bolo TIe.” The size of the piece is roughly 1.75” tall a bit less than 1.5” wide. It wears well and the cord is certainly long enough for me and I am taller than most. The metal looks fine. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s some zinc alloy that might have a silver colored plating. It’s not really shiny like polished stainless steel or chrome would be, although not exactly the same look as sterling silver with a natural patina would have either. The stone certainly could be a natural Tiger Eye. There is a depth to it and changes its look slightly depending on how you look at it. Overall it is a very attractive piece.The “high quality hand braided leather” is certainly braided, although I doubt any animal contributed to the production of this leather. It has a lot of stretch to it, much more than a natural leather braided cord I have. But again, for this application and price point I’m happy with it. The cord is held in place with a clip you depress against the cord. While the typical friction fit usually works, this is a superior way of securing the cord.This is an attractive bolo tied for an attractive price. I think it looks good on me and I certainly will recommend this bolo tie.
