I have been using this on my leather work boots for years and it keeps them waterproof and flexible Its a great product. The larger size is a good value especially if you use it as much as I do

If ordering, maybe attach a note for Amazon to pack it in a small box or bubble wrap as ours arrived vent and leaking due to being sent in a thin plastic envelope.

I started with the smaller sized container to take care of a few pairs of leather boots, and bought the pint size because this is the only product that I will ever use on my footwear (and other leather items). It's easy to apply, and the smell (although mild to me) dissipates quickly. It waterproofs and softens leather and so far I've used it on several pairs of boots, a few belts, and a leather vest.I will never use anything else.

I started using this stuff on my work boots a few years ago after reading reviews of others that have used it. The stuff is amazing. I spray noxious weeds all summer so im always getting my boots wet. This stopped that! I had always used Mink oil. The stitching on my boots would come apart. Found out Mink oil rots the stitching. This stuff dont do that !!!!!! Used to be Id get maybe a year out of my work boots. Im going on 2 years and they look fine!!!! Probably have to replace the pad in the bottom of the boot but the outside looks as good as the day I bought them. Lol less the paint I got on them. GREAT STUFF YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED ! ! ! It will darken the leather just so you know too. But who cares as long as I dont have to buy a $300 dollar pair of boots every year !!!!!

Oh man, I'm not sure what in the world I would do without Huberds! Absolutely wonderful product, super old school and when something works this well, why change or switch.Super easy to apply, really conditions the leather beautifully and water pretty much beads straight off.Terrific product, I would absolutely recommend this.

As stated, this is a bit messy to apply. I used a lightweight nitrile glove on one hand, dipping one finger into the product and smearing it around to work in. A very small stiff-bristled brush was used to work it in to the welt seams. I let it soak in overnight, wiped off the excess - mostly at the welt seams, and went to work. Two light coats initially about a week apart. I like the way the product softens the leather, but I haven't had the opportunity to test the waterproof claim. It absolutely darkens the leather, but I(1)- put this on work boots, so not a problem at all, and(2)- like the darker color. I have been wearing Redwing Boots for decades, and I like this product better than the Official Redwing boot oil(s). I'll keep using it.

This product goes on easily with a soft rag, and absorbs well into the leather. It also has a great, woodsy smell, so beats most of its competition (some of which smell terrible). I applied it to some riding boots then took them right out in the rain. Feet were dry, so it certainly worked well. It will darken your leather up a bit (as will any such treatment), so make sure you know that going in.

I apply with a cheap brush (called an acid brush, I have them in my shop for applying glue). Really easy, perfect consistency for this as it spreads nicely but is thick enough that it doesn't drip off the brush. Seems nice and water resistant so far.

I use this for my boots and loafers. It does darken the leather a bit, but nothing out of the ordinary, which I prefer it that way anyway. I've been told to wax my leather every week or every other week. I'm sure not everyone has time for that kind of routine, which I do once a month, maybe every 2 months. The wax seems to repel water well, although not enough to submerge your boots in. I learned that the hard way. It leaves a nice smoky scent, like charcoal or like I've been camping recently. It's not overwhelming, but it's a nice subtle scent. Compared to the oil that I use in the same brand, this seems to hold well after one pass vs 2-3 passes with the oil. Only downside I can imagine is that it's hard to get the wax in at the edges. I would buy this again.

I only use this Huberd's and Obenauf's.Grease or Oil, on all my work boots and cowboy boots. The stuff is great for waterproofing, keeping 'em clean so you can beat 'em up, and for breaking in and treating the leather. It's got a bit of a pine tar smell, and it will darken the leather.I've got a number of pair of quality boots, Danner and Bates, and they see a lot of use and abuse, and this stuff gets 'em broken in quick, nice and supple, sometimes they darken up for just a spell, sometimes they get and stay darker, depends on what color you're starting with. Some of the Sand/Coyote boots got and stayed darker, some returned to out-of-the-box color. The darker boots, brown/wicker and black, well, they were dark to begin with.I'm tellin' ya, my boots look great and are in great shape. Even when they get beat up.Give it a try, I've got it on boots from $100 to $500 ... and I'm well pleased.
