I bought this used. Don't. It died within a few months of purchase.Other than that "minor" detail it's a lovely fan, stylish, low profile, good airflow. Spring for the extra $70 or so and buy a new one. I bought new indoor only versions, which are still working fine.One truly minor weirdness is the remote's dimming function. It's not intuitive, you have to point it at the fan and move your finger forward and back over the button. This isn't in the instructions, which say to move the entire remote up and down while pointing it at the fan, which method may or may not work, it's very erratic. I don't really need a dimming function on a porch so I didn't use either one very much.

We had two of these installed on our porch and they look good and function as expected. Both have a hum that would be unacceptable indoors, particularly in a bedroom. In our case the noise is not as noticeable on an outside application.

Had my electrician friend install as I am no longer allowed to climb into the attic. The little remotes that come with it are SUPER as you can mount to the wall or take them out of their holders and lay next to the head of the bed. The remotes are so simple to use, even our grandchildren can use. Like the way the lights brighten and dim in stages. Quiet and adds a modern view to the room.

Hunter fan quality and dependability speaks for itself. Have been using them for over thirty years. Assembly is consistent with enclosed instructions. Whisper quiet when running. Fits nicely into out screened in porch area. The remote is very flexible for use when dimming lights and when increasing and lowering the speed of the fan blades. Works in reverse to push air down or up via a switch located inside the light globe area.

I had this fan installed in my bedroom. It’s super quiet and was easy to install. The only thing to note is the light isn’t great on the unit. I don’t rely on the light, so it’s a non-issue for me.

Had this installed by an electrician in our master bedroom that did not previously have any light or fan. Perfect size for our room, and the low profile works for our regular height ceiling (fan doesn’t loom over our bed). Remote with 3 speed fan works great, the light is nice and bright and the lowest speed is perfect and quiet for overnight circulation while we sleep. Very happy with our purchase.

Got us from a gaudy, overly ornate fright on our kitchen ceiling to something more understated and simply functional. Works well with the Stainless appliances. Flip the blades if you want wood grain. Pretty heavy duty so should last. Installation was standard and the instructions were well done. Not crazy about the remote but it works fine and came with a solution to mount it over the switch that ran the old mutt that came with the house. It can stay there so you’re not wondering where it went. Pleased overall. To qualify...I’m just not the type who gets all excited about ceiling fans. Don’t be obnoxious, stay on the ceiling and spin when I tell you. This unit put a check in all those boxes. I’m good.
