Belt Break In Procedure

Break in a New Belt by running your machine at half throttle or less for the first thirty miles. Also, you should let it go through a couple of heat and cool cycles, this will allow the belt to seat properly and provide optimum performance. It will take toughly 100-200 miles for the belt to fully limber up, be properly seated in the clutch faces, and have shift phase RPM return to normal. Expect a slight drop in RPM the first couple of times out, the belt is new. (In simpler terms, just take it easy for a couple rides. After that, let her rip!)

Clutching Install/Troubleshooting Videos

The channel is compromised of videos covering all things clutching. From How To Install a Clutch Kit, How To Remove a Primary Clutch, How To Change a Belt, or How to Troubleshoot a clutch. The list goes on and on but Todd is very knowledgable and active on Youtube

I own a 2022 Polaris Turbo R. I needed a spare belt as I shredded the last belt I got through the Vine program (Chinese no-name). I’ve used Hunterworks belts and other products before and had very good results. I was pleasantly surprised that one was available through Vine. My OE belt number is a 3211202. The “HD” OE belt number is 3211227. Both are interchangeable. This will be the first Hunterworks belt I’ve put through its paces for this rig. My last belt was used on a 2015 XP1000 and accumulated over 600 miles on it. That belt was still on the rig when I sold it. This belt does have similar grip characteristics of the standard OE belt so far. It smoothed out engagement as my OE belt with 1200+ miles was starting to get grabby on engagement. This belt coupled with my Dalton clutch setup and 33” tires is proving to be a good combo so far. I’ve used it in Moab on desert, high speed trails along with heavier rock crawling. This has seen trails like Kane Creek, Hells Revenge and Rusty Nail. It’s seen a few others already, but I just need time to get more miles on it.

This Hunterworks CVT belt feels sturdier than the OEM one on my Polaris Ranger XP 1000. Better quality out of the box, though I’ll see how it holds up after a few thousand miles. Installation was a breeze, matched the stock part dead-on, no tweaks were needed.I went with Hunterworks on a buddy’s tip, but picking the right belt was a headache. The HW-925T pops up in tons of Amazon listings for different Polaris models, all the same part, just sliced up for various owners. Fine strategy, but it muddied the waters figuring out which to grab. Once past that mess, I’m happy and the belt’s doing its job, feels like a good decision so far.

This is a PRE-USE review. This is one of those things that you MUST have as a carry on spare. Made in the USA caught my attention and a quick Google of the company turned up very positive reviews. In caparison to my spare OEM belt, this one is a 98% match in visible construction quality. Time will tell but for 1/2 the price of the OEM belt, I'll be happy for it just to get me out of trouble!

Very nice belt for the price. High quality and a great replacement belt for your machine. A really sturdy belt. Definitely worth the price for a replacement belt. Arrived quickly and well packaged.

Only have about 200 miles on the car so far with no signs of fatigue but don't anticipate any issues as long as you keep your clutch and compartment cleaned.

Bought this belt after my OEM belt shredder. It has held up through tough rides in all terrains. Nice American made too
