I needed to hang a small light off a 22. Bought these and installed one for my light. It works fine, but I wouldn't put anything overly stressful on them.

I thought the pics would be black its kind of dark tungsten color.Great valuethe threaded nuts are kind of odd but work okay

Went on easy. These look like they will hold whatever you want to put on them. Only needed one but for this price these are a great deal. Now I have plenty extra.

These appear to be made of a very lightweight metal, it feels lighter than a solid piece of aluminum would weigh. At least, to me that is how it feels.The look of it is a REALLY matte, medium grey color, it's definitely not black, it's almost a charcoal color.Whether or not these will be something that lasts, I can't say, I am mainly using the two 11 slot rails for a fore-grip on a .22 rifle that was carved out years ago (by me, I wanted to get rid of the Glenfield cheap-o stamped checkering) and I wanted to rejuvenate the rifle. If I wanted though, the way my plans are I can add whatever (such as a flashlight or laser) I want because it will still be a working rail.I am not really sure that I would trust these rails with a nice scope on it, it may be perfectly fine, but we do get what we pay for, and this price reflects that. :)All depending on what you need it for though makes all of the difference. If you use it for adding a flashlight, or a laser, or something that is not heavy enough to have problems, I would trust that. Even a red dot, it's light enough, I feel.I just bought a scope that is fairly light and I think that I would place it on one of these if I needed to, but I already have a rail for that, one that is not in question. (My scope only cost around $80., so it wouldn't be a great loss like a $300. scope might)My thoughts when I hold this is that if I slapped it against a table it might snap, that is how light it feels, it almost feels as though it's a special aluminum that has very tiny air pockets in it, that may sound odd, but that is a perfect description of how I see it. (They have a cement that is that way and it's super lightweight, so anything's possibleThe 11 slot rail is actually 4-3/4" long, someone else said it was 6", it is not. (I actually bought these because I took the guy's word that it was actually 6", when it s far from it, I needed to have the full 6", had I been thinking, I could measure a couple of slots and gone from there to find my length)The 9 slot one is exactly 4" long...The 5 slot on is 2-3/8" long...I just received them a little while ago so of course I can't say anything about longevity, all I can say is that they 'appear' to be made well enough to work on 'most' things. That's just my opinion... :)Still, I feel they are worth it to me, you may have a completely different opinion if you buy these.
