My Husqvarna self propelled mower stopped self-propelling and under some inspection I noticed that the original tensioner was locked up solid (the bearing in the center of it). So, when I went to engage the self propelling the tensioner basically acted like a brake. This dropped right in place and fixed the problem.

Part is OEM factory part . Worked perfectly. Avoid cheap inferior Chinese knock-offs… that DO NOT look like the what the ad picture shows. Pay the extra dollar and get this quality one over the imposters!

The seller is husqvarna so as expected it’sa perfect fit since it’s a stock replacement part. And the 2 day shipping made it even better than ordering it online elsewhere and since my local husqvarna dealer didn’t have it in stock and said it would be 3-4 days to get it this was an even better purchase

Holding the pulley, use your thumb and one additional finger, to hold the center cylinder, and rotate the wheel with your other hand close to your ear and listen. It should not be grinding or even wiggling, but rather smooth and almost silent solid rotation. If not, replace, but notice any variance in the three pulleys, one of which is mounted differently, and is a separate part number, even though all three pulleys have an original similar part number. That is false, and the Amazon Sellers should all be uniform about that discrepancy and refer to the difference in their product descriptions. Like, the odd pulley has this part number, while the other two are this part number.

I have a Husqvarna awd push mower that the self propelled part had failed. These were easy to install and corrected the issue. Well worth the money, will order again if needed later on.

The pulley is wonderful except it is made out of plastic. One came damaged and had to be returned (what a PAIN!). The Husqvarna self-propelled model LC221a has two types of pulleys, which I ordered the wrong one first, and the other pulley is made of metal which looks like it will last the life of the mower. This part looks like it will last a couple of seasons. This will be the third season and one of the three pulleys of this type is just broke. And try to find info on how to change it is near impossible on the internet! But when you finally get it broken down to get to the pulley, this part does fit.
