fit good and fit like factory bolt holes matched and the exhaust pipe hole was in the right place for header pipe out of the engine head !!! good product!!!!!

I just bought a 16 year old Husqvarna 46" mower and found it to have the dreaded Kohler Courage valve cover leak, who knows how long but apparently it had been dripping oil onto the hot muffler long enough to split the muffler at the top. (see attached photo) This muffler was a perfect direct replacement that fit just fine. The plate is not threaded BUT, driving the factory nuts into place with an impact gun causes the bolt to thread itself into place, no problem at all. To prevent any further potential damage to the new muffler, I replaced the gasket for my valve cover ( also ordered from Amazon) AND made a "drip plate" to protect the muffler from any future leaks. Pic of the final assembly is attached.Odds are this muffler will repair other mowers with the Courage motor like a Craftsman, MTD, Cub Cadet. Just visually double check your mower before ordering this muffler.

It looked like it would work so I ordered this for my Bolens mower. This is not what you would normally do, LOL. I have the tools though for welding and metal work so I adapted it to work for my mower and it is working good. The only reason I downgraded the ease of installation was because I had to pull a trick or two to make it work for my mower.

hello,good thing i had the bolts on hand because i was told from rep at amazon that the bolts would come with it i had to pre drill to install using my original bolts.If you say the hardware and bolts come with item please make sure you stand by your word.Lucky i had bolts!!!Installed in 10-15 minutes and machine runs quiet and well!!!I hope in future if i order for my machine bolts and hard ware will be included in whatever part i and other amazon customers will be needing!!!Besides when i order items on amazon your delievery is very well packaged and on time if not earlier than scheduled,Thank You for that,we been with amazon for a while,yall are the only company we order from online.Thank You Rick Sonnier

This is a nice muffler, especially for the price. I used to it replace the rotten one on my 10 year old Ariens riding mower with a Kohler Courage 20hp engine. It was a perfect replacement. The exhaust deflector came pretty banged up, but really doesn’t effect the performance. The two mounting holes on the bracket did not come tapped, so I had to tap them to 5/16-18, which wasn’t difficult but could be for someone less inclined. I’m not sure if they were left untapped to fit a variety of applications, but I don’t remember reading that it came that way. It feels like a heavy, solid unit and it certainly quieted my machine compared to the rotten one.
