I bought this earler this summer and have had alot of fun with this purchase. It handles well im able to carve an clear wakes with no worries. Im goofy foot and we had 2 regulars on the boot and the symmetrical design worked out great we were able to switch in and out by tilting the bindings so that is a definite plus. highly recommended.
Always something to do

This board is sick! I love the quality of the build as well as the aesthetics. The bindings are excellent! They comfortably hold tight but are also easy to put on and take off of my feet. I like the slide locks and the reinforced eyelets, they’re quick and easy to fasten. All of the stitching is perfect and the material is easy to care for. So far it seems like it’s odor resistant. The insoles are cushioned and very comfy. The overall boot is very comfortable, sturdy, and durable! The design of the binding anchor points are easy to adjust to the perfect angle and center align, making it easy to find the most stable foot position for my particular taste in weight distribution. They lock down tight and don’t budge! The threads have a blue locking material to help keep the bolts tight. If you don’t know exactly how you like your foot placement, then you should take the time to really feel it out before tightening the bolts, but if you plan on moving the bolts around, loosening and tightening then I suggest getting some blue locktite to set the bolts. I knew exactly how I like my feet to be placed so I didn’t have to adjust after tightening the bolts and they are holding tight. The design of the board itself is super smart. The scoop channels the maximum flow of water to create lift and quickly raises the rider on a plane and also maximizes steering and responsiveness, but still allows me to slide and spin without catching an edge. The fins are perfect for me, but they are removable if you prefer to swap one out for a larger, beginner cruising fin to increase stability. This board is lightweight, has perfect buoyancy, but is also super strong.I’m about 6 ft. 165lbs and the 140cm is perfect for my liking. It’s an excellent ride!If you can snowboard or skate then you can probably wakeboard.

OK - So I wish I was more technical for this review but I'll try my best. I am 43 and have been water skiing/single skiing for 40 of those years. I started with the tied together skis as a toddler and have been going 5-6 trips a season thru my 20's. Kids came and now we only go 2-3 times a season. I also snowboard. 15 years ago (omg - that long - feel so old now) I got talked into trying wakeboarding and completely sucked and went back to my single ski. I tried off and on for a few years then just gave it up - I had more fun on my ski. I now have 13 & 11yo daughters that have been skiing (snow & water) since they were 5 and refuse to try single ski - they want to wakeboard so here we are. Hubby also likes wakeboarding so we decided to try to get a board that would work for everyone. I have always loved the Hyperlite brand - great quality and design. We talked to some friends then came across this board. It had the elements we wanted and I liked the design. We got the 140cm board for hubby who is 6' 190lbs so he needs the support and it works great for the girls - pops them right up. The skags and channeling on the board makes it very easy maneuver even for my light girls. Hubby does have to stay tucked for a bit but when he pops up he says he gets on plane quick and has a great time. The boots are super comfy and easy to adjust for a snug fit. Hubby has size 11mens and girls are size 6womens so big difference and they work for them all. We set it up normal foot and it works for everyone. I feel that it could be a bit easier to change the footing - butterfly nuts or something - so we could adjust it while on the boat for each rider's preferences without a tool. It does have a angle channel so you can change the splay of the foot but still need a tool to loosen/tighten the nut. But I also think that this price point brings the professional riders who set their board for themselves and no one else uses it but them. It's not a big deal and does not detract at all for our family, we just keep a socket on the boat now. We aren't going crazy or trying for crazy tricks - just fun rides with lil jumps out of the wake.I an 5'4 160lbs and really like this board too - it pops me up super quick and feels nicely stable - not squirrely or hard to control. I recently broke my R leg (feb 2023) and couldn't single ski this summer (june-aug 2023) - just way to much pressure on my R. leg. So I decided to try the wakeboard again and it was great. Set the boots in neutral goofy so most of the pressure would be on my L leg and it worked great. Took a few tries to get up but once up I had no problem steering and getting out/in the wake. Had much fun and it helped my confidence in my leg a lot. Kind of funny that it took breaking my leg to really give wakeboarding a serious try but now that I have I am hooked. Very like snowboarding and with the goofy footing I am able to carve heel/toe like a snowboard and it is comfy on my leg. Very happy with this board.

The Motive Wakeboard + Frequency Bindings by Hyperlite, is a great all-around package that’s designed for beginners to intermediate, offering you a wonderful set-up. With a mild yet attractive look and a mellow performance designed for all skill levels, this should definitely be a consideration. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying.I. Quality – All the boards I’ve tried from Hyperlite including this one, are great quality. I’d put it in the upper tier of the quality scale for a beginner-intermediate wakeboards and guess that they’ll survive for years like my other Hyperlite boards.II. Performance – These board offer wonderful overall performance. It glides through the water with little drag, offering mellow turns and a stable feel. It’s easier to get up for beginners and shortens the learning curve. The graphics are very subtle, but attractive, the blues really look good in the sun light. It’s comfortable to ride for hours and has nice pop that’s responsive. The bindings are very comfortable to wear and offer good control of the board, but seem to loosen up a bit while using them. They allow for a lot of pivoting and flexibility, while being customizable to many foot types.Overall, this is a fantastic board and binding set-up that’s worked wonderful for multiple people. It really offers great performance for all skill levels and is very durable. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it.You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.
