Unfortunately, I did not inspect this close enough and it appears to have boogers or some other kind of substance all over the pillow. I'd guess someone used it and returned it and no one had inspected it unfortunately.Otherwise appeared to be a well made pillow

I’m getting ready for DIEP flap breast reconstruction in a couple of weeks, and they’ll be removing a big piece of my abdomen from hip to hip and moving it to my chest. I have a mastectomy pillow already from my first surgery, but wanted something that could cover both surgical sites at the same time for the ride home, and once there, protect me from the cats while I heal up. The fabric on this is soft and so is the padding - it’s pretty huggable.I’m fairly small (5’2”) and when seated, the pillow comes up high enough on my chest to protect it too - I don’t know how that will go for someone with a long torso. It won’t cover both sites if I’m prone on my back, so I’ll use the mastectomy pillow too when I’m lying down.I like how the bottom is shaped to conform to your lap when sitting, without adding a lot of bulk. The pockets are a bit loose so I wouldn’t trust anything valuable in them when moving around, but they’re nice for keeping stuff in when seated, and the front pocket is on a separate panel so you can hug the pillow to yourself without crushing the stuff in the pocket, since your arms are under it.The one thing I wish is that I could detach the straps. I don’t need them when I’m at home, and the buckles are big and clunky and awkward. I might wind up cutting them off but I’ll decide that after the surgery (and update this review if I remember to!).(This review is for galactruly Hysterectomy Pillow)

Used this as a splint for my laparoscopic procedure and it has become my best friend. I use it in the car, and when I walk, cough and sneeze. It’s soft, a little big for me, but I’m glad I bought it!

This pillow saved me many Times from my dogs hurting me after my hysterectomy. I love my pets, but I was very worried about my little babies hurting me worse. This was a great protection from excited little dogs trying to jump on me to get loves. Having the strap around the hips, because I had it lower for my tummy, is perfect for everyday use didn’t even have to think about it.
