I got this to protect the lens on my Fujifilm X20. That lens (like all) needs environmental protection, but in addition, the radius of the lens is such that any lens cap but the original touches (and potentially mars) the lens. This filter gives just enough extension to solve that problem. And it’s easy to keep clean.
